My Yu-Gi-Oh Hybrid Fanfic Season 9 (Page 2)
1.
"ATK" stands for
Attack Points while "DEF" stands for Defense Points. When a
monster is Summoned or revealed after being Set, I will use its
ATK or DEF number and label it accordingly based on the
character's subsequent line of dialogue. 2. For more info on the cards played, click any of the Info links. |
Card Type(s) Played: Effect Monster / Trap Card --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inzektor Weevil (Part 3) Previously… “I’ll play Inzektor Ant (200 ATK) in Attack Mode and thanks to its effect, it gets my Inzektor Giga-Mantis as an Equip Card! Giga-Mantis equips to Inzektor Ant, raising its ATK to 2400. Too bad there’s nothing to defend you as I attack directly! Weevil’s LP drops to 3700. That should do for now,” stated Missy. (Hand: 0 cards) “I’ll Summon Inzektor Firefly (100 ATK) in Attack Mode and give it the Inzektor Hornet card, which I’ll promptly send to the Graveyard and destroy your Ant! Inzektor Ant and the equipped Giga-Mantis are destroyed. It won’t do much damage, but you’ll have even less Life Points than before so Firefly, attack Missy directly! Missy’s LP drops to 4500. Give up yet?” responded Weevil. (Hand: 0 cards) “I use Pot of Greed and draw twice. Next, I use Monster Reborn on your Bumblebee (2200 ATK) and equip it with the Giga-Mantis in my Grave! This move will have you feeling the sting of defeat as it raises Bumblebee's ATK! Bumblebee's ATK becomes 2400. Bumblebee, attack Weevil directly! Weevil's LP drops to 1300. I'll Set 1 card and end my turn," explained Missy. (Hand: 0 cards) "I'll play my Doom Dozer (Info) (2800 ATK) in Attack Mode by banishing Firefly and Dragonfly from my Graveyard. Doom Dozer, put my Bumblebee back where it belongs!" shouted Weevil. "It's staying right where it is thanks to Zekt Conversion (Info)! This allows me to equip Bumblebee to Doom Dozer and then steal Doom Dozer for myself. Nice knowing ya, Weevil. You're about to be squashed like the beetle you are," countered Missy as Doom Dozer moved to her field. "It can't be! I don't have any other cards out to protect me and nothing in my hand! I have no choice but to end my turn. Do your worst, Missy," realized Weevil.
"Believe me, I will. Doom Dozer, strike down Weevil's remaining LP!"
declared Missy. Weevil's LP drops to 0. "You got lucky this time. I would've won had it not been for your Trap Card," remarked Weevil. "No, you blew it on an attack that backfired big time. You're not smart enough to defeat me. Later, loser," replied Missy before walking away. [Elsewhere....] "Too bad for our little puppet, but no matter. He was only a test and now that we know how to defeat these new monsters, it's time for our little show to truly begin," said Jacob. "Plus, Rogue wasn't totally useless. He did alter their Duel Disks after all. It's just a matter of time before things take effect and that'll be our victory," laughed Lester. "Indeed. Once the others find out, it'll be too late to do anything about it. We just need to be patient and let things play out. Then, once their Duel Disks are down, we can ambush Industrial Illusions and force them to stop making Synchro Monsters. We'll then take over the company and force new policies on Domino City," added Jacob. "Well I'm adding extra measures to ensure our plan stays on track. Knowing Yugi and his friends, they'll otherwise somehow find a way to defeat us and ruin everything," noted Primo. "Quit worrying, Primo. Jacob has it all figured out. There's no way even Yugi and his friends can overcome the disaster that's about to unfold," protested Lester. [Meanwhile...] "Where's that dumb Dino Duelist? I've been all over Domino City and there's nothing to be found. It's like they disappeared off the face of the Earth. How hard is it to find one lousy Duelist?! If I find out Weevil had better luck than I did, I'll never forgive myself. I'm supposed to be the smart one between us," questioned Rex. [Back with Yugi and Joey...] "Well, so far nothing bad has happened. I'd like it to stay that way," stated Yugi. "You're right, Yugi. It has been rather quiet around here. It's as if everyone disappeared. I'm not sure I like this. It's like when the Seal of Orichalcos took souls when they lost," agreed Tea`. "Yeah and that kind of worries me. I sure hope there isn't a madman out to take over the world or something," added Yugi. "We'll find them if there is. Don't you worry about a thing, Yug. There's nothin' we can't overcome," assured Joey. "You said it, Joey. As long as Yugi is with us, we can defeat whomever is trying to pull a fast one," nodded Tristan. [Elsewhere...] "You're tellin' me there's another Dino Duelist? Sam hill! I'd never have guessed that. Maybe I'd better investigate the enemy lines to see if it's true," reacted Hassleberry.

Card Type(s) Played: Effect Monster / Synchro Monster / Spell Card --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inzektor Weevil (Part 2) Previously... “I’ll play Inzektor Dragonfly (1000 ATK) in Attack Mode and thanks to its ability, it gets equipped with my Inzektor Giga-Mantis, making its ATK 2400 and its Level goes up by 3! Dragonfly’s ATK rises to 2400. Dragonfly, trounce his Centipede! Inzektor Centipede is destroyed and Weevil’s LP drops to 7200. Just in case you plan on attacking me, I’ll play Insect Barrier, which’ll prevent any Insect monster you have from attacking, which’ll make your Deck completely useless! That ends my turn,” said Missy. (Hand: 3 cards) “Destroying my Centipede will be your first of many mistakes in this Duel! This Duel has also just begun and when it’s finished, you will be too! First I’ll use Pot of Greed (Info). With two new options in my hand, I play my own Inzektor Dragonfly (Info) (1000 ATK) in Attack Mode and due to its effect, it’s getting Inzektor Hornet (Info)! Hornet attaches to Dragonfly. Next, I’ll use my Hornet’s ability again to take out your Hopper! Missy’s Hopper is destroyed. Dragonfly, attack her directly! Missy’s LP drops to 6800. Finally, I activate Verdant Sanctuary (Info), letting a Duelist that had their Insect monster destroyed add another Insect monster from their Deck to their hand, but since most of your cards aren’t Insects, you’ll get very little out of this. I’ve done enough this turn,” said Weevil. (Hand: 0 cards) “I’ll bring out Howling Insect (Info) (1300 ATK) in Attack Mode. Go, Howling Insect, take out his Dragonfly!” declared Missy. Dragonfly is destroyed and Weevil’s LP drops to 6300. “You fool. Have you forgotten Verdant Sanctuary? Now I can add another Inzektor Hornet to my hand,” stated Weevil before shuffling his Deck. “Big deal. When not equipped, it’s no real threat to me. I’ll end my turn,” said Missy. (Hand: 0 cards)
“I’ll Summon out my Inzektor Hornet
(Info)
(500 ATK) in Attack Mode! Due to this, I can now play my Tuner
monster Inzektor Wasp
(Info)
(600 ATK) in Attack Mode. It’s a Level 3 Tuner so I can tune it
with my Hornet for Inzektor Bumblebee
(2200 ATK) in Attack Mode. Thanks to Bumblebee, I can equip it with an
Inzektor previously equipped to another Inzektor once per turn so I’ll
give it my Inzektor Hornet
(Info)!
Hornet attaches to Bumblebee. Of
course, you know what happens next. Hornet
detaches itself and Howling Insect is destroyed. “Well then since Howling Insect is obviously Insect, I’ll pick up another Inzektor Centipede,” countered Missy. “You’ll lose so much more as my Bumblebee attacks directly! Missy’s LP drops to 4600. I end my turn. Perhaps I’m better than you think, hmm?” replied Weevil. (Hand: 0 cards) “Please. That last move was your best, but your monster will now be mine as first I play my Inzektor Centipede (Info) (1600 ATK). Next, I’ll use Creature Swap (Info) to switch our monsters’ owners. “That’s too bad because Inzektor Bumblebee cannot be targeted by Spell Cards,” protested Weevil. “No matter, then I’ll just use my Centipede’s effect to give it my Giga-Mantis (Info), making its ATK 2400! Giga-Mantis attaches to Centipede and Centipede’s ATK becomes 2400. Centipede, take out his Bumblebee! Inzektor Bumblebee is destroyed and Weevil’s score drops to 6100. You’re lucky I have no cards left to play and end my turn,” said Missy. (Hand: 0 cards) “I’ll play Eradicating Aerosol (Info), which lets me destroy 1 Insect-Type monster on the field so goodbye to your Centipede! Missy’s Centipede is destroyed. Luckily for you, that’s all I can do,” said Weevil. (Hand: 0 cards) “I’ll play Inzektor Ant (Info) (200 ATK) in Attack Mode and thanks to its effect, it gets my Inzektor Giga-Mantis (Info) as an Equip Card! Giga-Mantis equips to Inzektor Ant, raising its ATK to 2400. Too bad there’s nothing to defend you as I attack directly! Weevil’s LP drops to 3700. That should do for now,” stated Missy. (Hand: 0 cards) “I’ll Summon Inzektor Firefly (Info) (100 ATK) in Attack Mode and give it the Inzektor Hornet (Info) card, which I’ll promptly send to the Graveyard and destroy your Ant! Inzektor Ant and the equipped Giga-Mantis are destroyed. It won’t do much damage, but you’ll have even less Life Points than before so Firefly, attack Missy directly! Missy’s LP drops to 4500. Give up yet?” responded Weevil. (Hand: 0 cards) “I use Pot of Greed (Info) and draw twice. Next, I use Monster Reborn (Info) on your Bumblebee (2200 ATK) and equip it with the Giga-Mantis (Info) in my Grave! This move will have you feeling the sting of defeat!" stated Missy. Card Type(s) Played: Effect Monster / Spell Card / Trap Card --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Inzektor Weevil (Part 1) [In the center of Battle City...] “Which fool should I test my new Deck on first? So many unsuspecting Duelists, so little time. Perhaps I could try against opponents like Yugi that beat me before, but that’ll probably end up in some kind of failure as it always has and I have no idea if my Deck is really that good just yet. Wait a minute. There IS another Insect Duelist in this town named Missy. Perhaps I could try my skills against her?” thought Weevil before heading out to find her [Meanwhile...] “I wonder if Weevil found out about other Insect Duelist like I now know of the other Dinosaur Duelist. I’ve heard he’s good, but he lost to a rookie in Slifer Red. Shouldn’t be a problem beating him then,” thought Rex before heading off. [Elsewhere...] “Hmm? Are you Weevil Underwood?” asked Missy. “You must be Missy then,” recognized Weevil. “That’s me, interested in a Duel, shrimp?” asked Missy. “No one calls me shrimp! Let’s Duel!” declared Weevil. “I’ll start with Armageddon Knight (Info) (1200 DEF) in Defense Mode and due to its effect, I send Inzektor Giga-Mantis from my Deck to my Grave since it’s DARK. Next, I Set 1 card face-down to end my turn,” said Missy. (Hand: 4 cards)“So what if she uses them too but of course now I have an advantage because I know her Deck now. I’ll Summon Inzektor Centipede (Info) (1600 ATK) in Attack Mode and attack your Armageddon Knight! Armageddon Knight is destroyed. I’ll Set 2 cards face-down and end my turn,” said Weevil. (Hand: 3 cards)“I’ll play Inzektor Dragonfly (Info) (1000 ATK) in Attack Mode and thanks to its ability, it gets equipped with my Inzektor Giga-Mantis (Info), making its ATK 2400 and its Level goes up by 3! Dragonfly’s ATK rises to 2400. Dragonfly, trounce his Centipede! Inzektor Centipede is destroyed and Weevil’s LP drops to 7200. Just in case you plan on attacking me, I’ll play Insect Barrier (Info), which’ll prevent any Insect monster you have from attacking, which’ll make your Deck completely useless! That ends my turn,” said Missy. (Hand: 3 cards)“First I’ll use Monster Reborn (Info) to bring back my Centipede (Info)! Inzektor Centipede appears. Then I’ll equip him with the Inzektor Axe – Zektahawk(Info) card to give him an extra 1000 ATK and if he attacks, you’re not allowed to activate Spell or Trap Cards,” said Weevil. Centipede's ATK rises to 2600. “Too bad you can’t even attack thanks to Insect Barrier,” protested Missy. “Well than it’s equally too bad I’m not done as I Summon Inzektor Hornet (Info) (500 ATK) in Attack Mode. Then I reveal my face-down Variable Form (Info) card and it gives me two options and I think I’ll give Hornet to my Centipede! Hornet equips itself to Centipede. Now comes my Hornet’s effect, which by sending him to the Grave while equipped to a monster, I can destroy any card on the field like your Insect Barrier! Hornet detaches itself, disappears and Insect Barrier is destroyed. Inzektor Centipede, destroy her Dragonfly!” declared Weevil. Dragonfly is destroyed and Missy’s score drops to 7800.
“I’ll bring back my Inzektor Dragonfly
(Info)
thanks to my Mantis’ effect!” declared Missy.
Inzektor Dragonfly appears. “Doesn’t bother me because it’s not strong enough, even with your Giga Mantis equipped to it. I’ll Set 1 card to end my turn,” said Weevil. (Hand: 0 cards) “I’ll play Inzektor Hopper (Info) (1700 ATK) in Attack Mode. Next, I’ll give him my Inzektor Hornet (Info) as an Equip Card, giving him 500 ATK, but that’s not going to matter as I’m about to get rid of your Centipede!” declared Missy. “Guess again as I activate Inzektor Gauntlet (Info) and with it, my monster gains 1000 DEF and can’t be destroyed by card effects,” countered Weevil. Centipede’s DEF rises to 2200.“Fine then I’ll get rid of your Gauntlet card with Hornet’s effect! Inzektor Gauntlet is destroyed and Centipede’s DEF returns to 1200. I’ll still get rid of your Centipede by using Mystical Space Typhoon (Info) on your Zektahawk card! Inzektor Zektahawk is destroyed and Centipede’s ATK returns to 1600. Now I’ll give my Hopper the Inzektor Sword - Zektkaliber (Info) Equip Spell, raising his ATK and DEF by 800! Hopper’s stats become (2400/2000). Inzektor Hopper, destroy his Centipede! Inzektor Centipede is destroyed and Weevil’s LP drops to 6600. I’ll end my turn with that,” said Missy. (Hand: 0 cards) “Destroying my Centipede will be the first of many mistakes in this Duel!!” laughed Weevil. TO BE CONTINUED...

Card Type(s) Played: Effect Monster / Spell Card --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ojama Country (Part 2) Previously... “I Summon Ojama Green (1000 ATK) in Attack Mode. Ojama Knight, destroy his Tribe-Infecting Virus! Tribe Infecting Virus is destroyed. Ojama Green, attack directly! Rogue’s score drops to 7000. That ends my turn,” said Chazz. (Hand: 0 cards) “I use Pot of Greed and pick up 2 more cards. Then I’ll Tribute your 2 monsters for Lava Golem (3000 ATK) in Defense Mode. Don’t think you’ll get a chance to Tribute your new monster for I now activate Mask of Restrict, making it so neither of us can Tribute monsters for anything at all. Tribute Summon or Special Summon. Finally, I use Level Limit – Area B to keep all Level 4 and above monsters like Lava Golem in Defense Mode to end my turn. Don’t think that monster is completely a free gift because it has a nasty side-effect that hits you for 1000 damage each turn, so it won’t be long before you’re finished!” stated Rogue. (Hand: 0 cards) “Alright, you’ve had your fun but it’s time I end this Duel! His LP drops to 3800. Now that your fireball’s effect has come and gone for the turn, I’ll use Resonance Device (Info) and target my 2 Ojama monsters since their Attribute and Type are the same and my card makes one’s Level become the other’s for a turn and I’ll make Prism Ray match Ojama Green! Now that that’s the case, I’ll put them in Attack Mode and attack you directly! Rogue’s LP drops to 2000. That’ll do for this turn,” said Chazz. Prism Ray changes back to Defense Mode. (Hand: 0 cards) “I’ll Set a monster and end my turn,” stated Rogue. (Hand: 0 cards) “Before I begin, I’ll wait for your monster’s effect again. His LP drops to 2800. Then I’ll play Ojama Blue (Info) (1000 ATK) in Attack Mode. Prism Ray, attack the face-down monster!” declared Chazz. The face-down Worm Milidith (Info) (1600 DEF) is destroyed.“Thanks to my Worm Milidith, I’ll equip it to Lava Golem, which’ll cost you another 400 damage each turn,” explained Rogue. “Doesn’t matter because you now go bye-bye as I attack directly with Ojama Green and Ojama Blue!” replied Chazz. Rogue’s LP drops to 0.“ You may think you’ve won this Duel, but I’ll be getting something back from you in due time. I can’t tell you what that is because that’d spoil the surprise,” warned Rogue before walking away.“Chazz does it again!” proclaimed Chazz. “That was an odd Deck of his. I couldn’t follow what it was made of,” remarked Alexis. “Who cares? He’s obviously inexperienced against The Chazz,” protested Chazz. “What bugs me more is what he just said. I hope it doesn’t mean anything dangerous,” reminded Bastion. [Meanwhile....]“This Deck is sure to win,” said Weevil. “You always say that and it never ends up being true,” protested Rex. “Not this time. It’s a Deck full of cards no one has even seen yet,” countered Weevil. “Mine too,” said Rex. “What cards do you have, Rex?” asked Weevil. “I’m not giving that away without you telling me yours first,” snapped Rex. “Perhaps we can keep our Decks a secret to everyone else. Of course, these monsters are still Insect based but they’re called Inzektors and they have a unique way of equipping themselves and triggering their effects. Just wait until you see the cards in action,” whispered Weevil. “I have a Deck of new Dinosaur monsters called Jurracs. They have their own Tuners and Synchros, one of which I have,” whispered Rex. “I guess we might have to Duel each other, but that could give away our strategies if anyone comes by,” stated Weevil. “I could show you some of my cards if you show me some of yours,” suggested Rex. “It’s still a risk, but a lower one so alright, Rex. Here’s mine,” said Weevil before showing him some cards. “They don’t look that powerful to me, Weevil but here are mine,” said Rex before also showing some cards. “By the time they figure out my strategy, it’ll be too late,” thought Rex and Weevil together.

Card Type(s) Played: Normal Monster / Effect Monster / Fusion Monster / Synchro Monster Spell Card / Trap Card --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Ojama Country (Part 1) Previously... “Are you Chazz Princeton?” asked a voice. “Yeah, who’s asking?” questioned Chazz. “Your Dueling opponent. Call me Rogue,” said Rogue. “Allow me to make the first move by activating a Field Spell called Ojama Country, which not only swaps the ATK and DEF of all monsters in play if I have an Ojama monster out but also lets me toss an Ojama in my hand to get one from my Grave. Then I play Ojama Red (Info) (1000 ATK) in Attack Mode and Set 2 cards face-down to end my turn Getting scared yet? You will be soon,” said Chazz. (Hand: 2 cards) “A feeble start but not threatening compared to my Tribe-Infecting Virus(Info) (1600 ATK) in Attack Mode. Next I’ll use his effect, which lets me toss out a card in my hand to my recycle bin (meaning Grave) and name a monster type. If that type of monster is on the field, they all get destroyed. It’s the end for your Ojama Red and the beginning of your demise! Of course I know Ojamas are Beast Type so I’ll make that my declaration! Ojama Red is destroyed. Tribe Infecting Virus, attack directly! Chazz’s LP drops to 6400. I’ll Set a card and end my turn,” said Rogue. (Hand: 3 cards) “I’ll use my Polymerization (Info) card to ditch Ojama Black and Ojama Yellow for Ojama Knight (Info) (2500 ATK) in Attack Mode. Ojama Knight, trash that virus!” declared Chazz.“You novice users are always my perfect targets because you’ll just walk right into traps like the one you just Set off, Curse of Anubis (Info) and thanks to this, all Effect Monsters go to Defense Mode,” countered Rogue.“I end my turn then,” said Chazz. (Hand: 0 cards) “How typical but I’ll be sure to add to the fun with my Infected Mail (Info)card. This allows me to target a Level 4 or less monster I have and let it at tack you directly but it goes to my recycle bin after the Battle Phase finishes and I can do this each turn. Next I play Tribe Shocking Virus (Info) (1700 ATK) in Attack Mode and I’ll let it attack you directly thanks to Infected Mail!” ordered Rogue.“Look who walked into the trap this time, it’s you! I activate Zero Gravity(Info) and it changes the modes of all face-up monsters. So mine go to Attack Mode and yours go to Defense Mode,” stated Chazz. “Your firewall is quite a nuisance, but I’m determined to get at it. Of course, I lose my Shocking Virus thanks to Infected Mail since you didn’t stop the attack. Shocking Virus disappears. I’ll Set another card face-down to complete my day’s work. (Hand: 1 card)“I Summon Ojama Green (Info) (1000 ATK) in Attack Mode. Next I switch Ojama Knight to Attack Mode. Ojama Knight, destroy his Tribe-Infecting Virus! Tribe Infecting Virus is destroyed. Ojama Green, attack directly! Rogue’s score drops to 7000. That ends my turn,” said Chazz. (Hand: 0 cards)“Your operating system is very outdated. Why else would you put up such weak defenses? Not to mention your only monster left is only good when his effect is used but he won’t get that chance because I use Monster Reborn (Info) to bring back my Infecting Virus (Info). Tribe-Infecting Virus appears. Then I use its effect once more to wipe out your monsters! Chazz’s monsters are destroyed. Virus, attack his control panel (meaning attack directly)! Chazz’s LP drops to 4800. I’m all out of tricks this turn so you’re off the hook for now,” said Rogue. (Hand: 0 cards)“I use Pot of Greed (Info) and draw twice. Then I Summon Ojama Purple(Info) (1000 ATK) in Attack Mode. Then I use Monster Reborn (Info) to bring back Ojama Knight (Info)! Ojama Knight appears. Since Ojama Knight is Level 6 and Ojama Purple is a Tuner, I’ll send them both to my Grave for Ojama Prism Ray (4000 ATK) in Attack Mode. Thanks to my monster’s ability, any other Ojama monsters I have in play can’t be destroyed by battle and while he’s in Attack Mode, you can’t attack any other monster. Ojama Prism, take out his Virus! Tribe-Infecting Virus is destroyed and Rogue’s LP drops to 4800. Ojama Green, attack directly! Rogue’s score drop to 3800. You’re lucky that’s all I can do,” said Chazz. (Hand: 0 cards) “I use Pot of Greed (Info) and pick up 2 more cards. Then I’ll Tribute your 2 monsters for Lava Golem (Info) (3000 DEF) in Defense Mode. Don’t think you’ll get a chance to Tribute your new monster for I now activate Mask of Restrict (Info), making it so neither of us can Tribute monsters for anything at all. Finally, I use Level Limit – Area B (Info) to keep all Level 4 and above monsters like Lava Golem in Defense Mode to end my turn. You're locked into trouble you can't get out of!" declared Rogue.TO BE CONTINUED...

Card Type(s) Played: Normal Monster / Effect Monster / Fusion Monster / Spell Card --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gladiator Proving Ground (Part 4) Previously... “You’re wasting your space on the field by Setting cards when I can just negate them with my effect. None of your monsters even have the DEF to survive an attack by me or, for that matter, my Gladiator Beast Alexander, which I Summon (2400 ATK) in Attack Mode by Tributing my Hoplomus! Alexander, take out his Card Trooper!” remarked Heraklinos. Card Trooper is destroyed. “Hold on, I have another face-down and it’s Call of the Haunted, which allows me to bring back the card I threw out, Elemental HERO Neos (2500 ATK) in Attack Mode! Neos appears. Since this is still the Battle Phase, I’ll attack you directly! Heraklinos’ LP drops to 4800. Show me what ya got, Heraklinos!” added Jaden. (Hand: 1 card) “Ask and you’ll most certainly receive as I use Gladiator Proving Ground (Info), letting me add any Level 4 or less Gladiator Beast monster from my Deck to my hand and I’ll pick Gladiator Beast Darius (Info), which I’ll Summon (1700 ATK) in Attack Mode. Now I’ll use Contact Fusion to return both my monsters to my Deck for Gladiator Beast Essedarii (Info) (2500 ATK) in Attack Mode and equip him with the Gladiator Beast’s Battle Manica (Info) card to prevent him from being destroyed in battle. Essedarii, attack his Neos! Neos is destroyed. You’re lucky I have no resources left right now and end my turn,” said Heraklinos. (Hand: 0 cards) “First I’ll use my Fifth Hope (Info) card and with that, I target 5 Elemental HERO monsters in my Grave and shuffle them into the Deck. Then I draw 2 cards. Next I’ll bring back Neos (Info) (2500 ATK) in Attack Mode using Skyscraper 2! Neos appears. Then I play Neo-Spacian Grand Mole (Info) (900 ATK) in Attack Mode. Grand Mole, attack Essedarii!“You really think your pipsqueak will do anything to my.....wait a minute, this doesn’t add up!” protested Heraklinos before and when Essedarii and Grand Mole disappear. “Grand Mole doesn’t calculate damage and instead sends both his attack target and himself back to the hand and now you’re open for my Neos’ direct attack! Heraklinos’ LP drops to 2300. I’ll throw down a face-down and leave it at that,” replied Jaden. (Hand: 0 cards)“I Summon another Hoplomus (Info) (2100 DEF) in Defense Mode and end my turn,” said Heraklinos. (Hand: 0 cards)“Then it’s game over for you as I play my Grand Mole (Info) again and have him attack your Hoplomus! Both monsters disappear. Now my Neos attacks directly! Heraklinos’ LP drops to 0. That’s game!” declared Jaden.“I gotta hand it to you, private. Ya did well to beat my Deck. Alright, Gladiators, we have some changes to make so head to our training station stat!” said Heraklinos before he and his army disappear. “That was impressive,” remarked Alexis. “I concur, Alexis. Jaden, you managed to find a weak spot in a Deck none of us knew about,” added Bastion. “Yeah well I do what I can,” replied Jaden. “I don’t think I would’ve done that well,” said Syrus. “Hey Chazz, what new cards did you get?” asked Jaden. “More lame Ojama cards. It’s like they think I have some kind of weird fetish with them or something,” answered Chazz. “I think they look pretty cool,” said Jaden. “You think everything is cool, Jaden,” snapped Chazz. “Only what I’ve seen,” added Jaden. “Are you Chazz Princeton?” asked a voice. “Yeah, who’s asking?” questioned Chazz. “Your Dueling opponent. Call me Rogue,” said Rogue. “Well then are you ready to get Chazz’d, Rogue?” asked Chazz. “The defeat will be yours once I’m through with you,” countered Rogue. “Allow me to make the first move by activating a Field Spell called Ojama Country (Info), which not only swaps the ATK and DEF of all monsters in play if I have an Ojama monster out, but also lets me toss an Ojama in my hand to get one from my Grave. Getting scared yet? You will be soon," stated Chazz.TO BE CONTINUED...

Card Type(s) Played: Normal Monster / Effect Monster / Synchro Monster / Spell Card / Trap Card --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gladiator Proving Ground (Part 3) Previously... “You’re a pretty tough guy, but how tough can you be with only one card in your hand? I’ll show you how tough I can be as I play the Field Spell Skyscraper 2 – Hero City and with it, only I can target an Elemental Hero in my Grave that was taken out in battle and bring it back so come on back Woodsman! Woodsman appears. Next, I’ll bring out my Tuner known as Elemental HERO Knight (700 ATK) in Attack Mode. Now you’ll be able to throw down with a new type of Summoning, as I’ll send these two to the Grave for a Synchro Summon! Come on out, Elemental HERO Sorcerer (1500 ATK) in Attack Mode,” declared Jaden. “You talk bigger than your monster,” ridiculed Heraklinos. “Are ya sure about that? My Sorcerer has an effect that allows me to discard 1 card and equip himself with a Level 4 or below Elemental HERO monster in my Grave once per turn! With an equip card, he gains that monster’s ATK! Stratos appears and is equipped, raising Sorcerer’s ATK to 3300. Sorcerer, take down Heraklinos! “You’ve made a grave error by attacking and your punishment shall commence! I activate my hidden card, Indomitable Gladiator Beast (Info), giving me a temporary 500 ATK boost until this turn’s End Phase,” declared Heraklinos. Heraklinos’ ATK rises to 3500 and HERO Sorcerer is destroyed, leaving Jaden with 7800.“That’ll have to do for now then,” said Jaden. Heraklinos’ ATK returns to 3000. (Hand: 0 cards) “Well then allow me to fight back by attacking you directly myself! Jaden’s LP drops to 4800. Think ya still got some fight left? I end my turn,” responded Heraklinos. (Hand: 2 cards)“First, I’m gonna bring back my Sorcerer (500 DEF) in Defense Mode with Skyscraper 2’s effect! Elemental HERO Sorcerer appears. Then, I’ll play my Card Trooper (Info) (400 DEF) in Defense Mode and use his effect too, allowing me to send up to 3 cards from the top of my Deck to the Graveyard and give him 500 ATK for each card sent and I’m sendin’ 1! Card Trooper’s ATK rises to 900. That’s it for me,” stated Jaden. Card Trooper’s ATK returns to 400. (Hand: 0 cards)“I Summon Gladiator Beast Hoplomus (Info) (2100 DEF) in Defense Mode. Now my Heraklinos takes out your Sorcerer!” ordered Heraklinos.“Not so fast for I have an effect to activate from Necro Gardna (Info) resting in my Grave. See, when you attack, I can banish him from there and negate your attack,” countered Jaden.“He’s not in your Grave, I would’ve seen him first!” protested Heraklinos. “Oh yes he is, I sent him there with Card Trooper’s effect,” replied Jaden. He removes the card.“Very well then, soldier, but your feeble stall strategy won’t last long. I’ll refer to you,” said Heraklinos. (Hand: 2 cards) “First I’ll use my Skyscraper 2 effect to bring back my Woodsman (Info) (2000 DEF) in Defense Mode! Woodsman appears. Then I’ll throw down a face-down to end my turn,” stated Jaden. (Hand: 0 cards)“You’re wasting your space on the field by Setting cards when I can just negate them with my effect. None of your monsters even have the DEF to survive an attack by me or, for that matter, my Gladiator Beast Alexander (Info), which I Summon (2400 ATK) in Attack Mode by Tributing my Hoplomus! Alexander, take out his Card Trooper!” remarked Heraklinos. Card Trooper is destroyed.“Thanks to Card Trooper’s effect, I can draw 1 card,” said Jaden. He draws 1 card. “Doesn’t matter for I’ll now take aim on your Elemental HERO Sorcerer!” declared Heraklinos. Elemental HERO Sorcerer is destroyed. Make your final move, son,” replied Heraklinos. (Hand: 2 cards) “First, I’ll use my Hero City’s effect and bring back my Sorcerer (1500 ATK) in Attack Mode again! Elemental HERO Sorcerer appears. Then I’ll toss a card to use his effect to target my Stratos! Stratos equips to HERO Sorcerer, putting its ATK at 3300. HERO Sorcerer, take down Heraklinos! Heraklinos is destroyed and Heraklinos’ LP drops to 7300.“Good show. You did it, Jaden!” commended Bastion. “Hold on, I have another face-down and it’s Call of the Haunted (Info), which allows me to bring back the card I threw out, Elemental HERO Neos (Info) (2500 ATK) in Attack Mode! Neos appears. Since this is still the Battle Phase, I’ll attack you directly!" called Jaden.TO BE CONTINUED...

Card Type(s) Played: Normal Monster / Effect Monster / Fusion Monster / Synchro Monster Spell Card / Trap Card --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Gladiator Proving Ground (Part 2) Previously.... “Hey, Sy, I got the cards made,” called Chumley as he raced over. “Thanks Chumley. It was totally worth the wait,” said Jaden. “At last, men we have reached our destination. Head to your cards now!” announced Heraklinos. “Can we help you with something?” asked Alexis. “I’ll ask the questions around here, got it? Where is soldier Jaden Yuki?” protested Heraklinos. “I am, I guess,” replied Jaden. “Very well, are you ready to Duel, son?” asked Heraklinos. “You bet I am,” answered Jaden. “Gladiator Beast Andal (1900 ATK) report in Attack Mode! Now I’ll return them to my Deck for Gladiator Beast Gyzarus (2400 ATK) in Attack Mode and with its effect, I can destroy 2 cards on the field and I’ll target your 2 face-down cards,” said Heraklinos. Jaden’s face-down cards are destroyed. “I’ve gotta take this Deck down or face an army of Gladiators!” thought Jaden. “Alright, son. I’ll Set 2 cards, then end my turn with Gyzarus' 2nd effect to return it to my Extra Deck for Laquari (Info) (2100 ATK) and Lanista (Info) (1800 ATK) from my Deck. Oh and Laquari gets 300 more ATK since it was Summoned with a Gladiator Beast,” concluded Heraklinos. (Hand: 2 cards) “I play Elemental HERO Woodsman (Info) (2000 DEF) in Defense Mode and I think I’ll target him with my face-down Hero Ring (Info) and now he cannot be attacked by any of your monsters with 1900 or more ATK to call it a turn,” said Jaden. (Hand: 2 cards) “You call that a turn? I call that pathetic! I’ll Summon Gladiator Beast Equeste (Info) (1600 ATK) in Attack Mode. Your Woodsman is no match for the Gladiator Beast’s Battle Halberd (Info) card that I’ll equip onto Equeste. Now when Equeste attacks, I can destroy a Spell or Trap at the end of the Damage Step and your Hero Ring cannot prevent this attack because Equeste has only 1600 ATK. Equeste, attack his Woodsman! His LP drops to 7600. Now I’ll destroy your Hero Ring with Halberd’s effect! Hero Ring is destroyed. With your Hero Ring gone, I can send my other army members into battle. Laquari, take out Woodsman!” proclaimed Heraklinos. Woodsman is destroyed.
“You’re not the only one that can recruit as I activate
Hero Signal
(Info)
and with it, I get to replace my fallen Woodsman with
Clayman (Info)
(2000 DEF) in Defense Mode!” reacted Jaden.
Clayman appears. “I’m not scared of that rock pile because now it’s time for you to meet my ultimate fusion as I return Equeste, Laquari and Lanista to my Deck for the very monster you see before you, Gladiator Beast Heraklinos (Info) (3000 ATK) in Attack Mode!” announced Heraklinos. “Unprecedented! This Deck is literally the ultimate tag team for with Heraklinos in play, Heraklinos himself can discard a card from his hand to stop any Spell or Trap Card activated and what’s worse is that he can do it during either player’s turn!” said Bastion shocked. “That really puts a dent in Jaden’s Deck because many of his best combos involve Spell or Trap Cards, not to mention his Fusion Monsters,” added Alexis. “The good news is that with only one card in hand, Heraklinos will have to use it wisely and therefore can only stop the activation of one Spell or Trap Card. If Jaden can force it to be discarded then anything he does after that will resolve, provided nothing he does triggers either face-down cards Heraklinos has,” analyzed Bastion. “Nothing you have left can match my power so I’ll end my turn,” said Heraklinos. (Hand: 1 card) “You’re a pretty tough guy, but how tough can you be with only one card in your hand? I’ll show you how tough I can be as I play the Field Spell Skyscraper 2 – Hero City (Info) and with it, only I can target an Elemental HERO in my Grave that was taken out in battle and bring it back so come on back Woodsman (Info)! Woodsman appears. Next, I’ll bring out my Tuner known as Elemental HERO Knight (Info) (700 ATK) in Attack Mode. Now you’ll be able to throw down with a new type of Summoning, as I’ll send these two to the Grave for a Synchro Summon! Come on out, Elemental HERO Sorcerer (Info) (1500 ATK) in Attack Mode,” declared Jaden. “You talk bigger than your monster,” ridiculed Heraklinos. “Are ya sure about that? My Sorcerer has an effect that allows me to discard 1 card and equip himself with a Level 4 or below Elemental HERO monster in my Grave once per turn! Watch what a HERO Deck can really do!" replied Jaden. TO BE CONTINUED....
