Episode 82: Sphere Cube Calamity (1)
While Yuma sleeps in his room, Astral is in Astral World knowing that with 50 Numbers collected so far, only 50 remain and when he has them, he'll have all his memories unlocked but has no idea how they'll play out for the future. In Barian World, Dumon approaches Mizar and learns that it's his turn to enter the human world with Barian Sphere Cubes, which'll allow them to duel in their regular form and two of which will go to Alito and Girag in spite of their failure. Dumon heads out, assuring his victory and manages to capture a new monster in a blank Xyz Monster Card. Meanwhile, Yuma dreams of Astral being attacked by that same dragon and awakens on the floor as usual. Alito and Girag are training for their duels (though I fail to see how exercise does this) before Alito draws Girag's attention to a disturbance in the sky. Mizar appears in a crater that is formed and hands each of them a Barian Sphere Cube.
They can't lose but it remains to be seen and Mizar disappears. That evening, Ray and Tori wonder what's been bothering Yuma and not even his favorite meal at dinner cheers him up so he heads upstairs. That night, with more Barians seeming to appear each day, Yuma looks at his cards and needs a strategy for Astral's sake. The next day, Tori and Yuma go to see Master Roku but Kaze greets them instead and explains that Master Roku is in the tropics on vacation but allows them to stay and rest for a while. Inside the statue room, Yuma remains troubled when he looks at the Red-Eyes B. Dragon statue and recalls his nightmare. Kaze realizes something is up and talks to Yuma before giving him two cards Master Roku wanted him to have if he was troubled. Later, while wondering about what the cards would be used for, Tori splashes him with water and he splashes back.
Elsewhere, Shark is waiting for Rio, whom finally comes out with bags in her hands but drops them when a new vision emerges in her head and the resulting words do not make any sense to Shark. Back in the forest, Yuma and Tori are walking home as temperatures are dropping but Tori is thrown further down as Mizar has attacked her to get Yuma's attention. Worse still, he activates the Barian Sphere Cube and Tori watches as Yuma is surrounded by a pinkish sphere and Astral feels it. Yuma learns he's dealing with Mizar, whom says it'll be the last duelist Yuma faces while Orbital 7 and Kite deal with the abnormal energy from the sphere's appearance. Determined not to lose, Yuma gets duel preparations underway before drawing. Astral appears and learns of the situation before Yuma summons Goblindbergh (1400) in Attack Mode.
Due to Goblindbergh's effect, Yuma Special Summons Ganbara Knight (0000) in Attack Mode. With that, he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 39: Utopia (2500) in Attack Mode. Next, to Astral's surprise, Yuma equips Utopia with Overlay Chain to prevent Mizar's Chaos Xyz Monsters from taking Utopia's Xyz Materials and ends his turn. However, summoning an Xyz Monster is what Mizar wanted and he draws and Special Summons Radius the Half-Moon Dragon (1400) in Attack Mode (though Mizar here implies that it has a summoning requirement, which it doesn't). Since it was Summoned by its effect, its Level doubles to Level 8. Then, since he has a Level 8 monster (though he doesn't say this is why), Mizar summons Parsec, the Interstellar Dragon (800) in Attack Mode. After that, he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for the very monster from Yuma's dream, Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode. Not only is it over 100 but it has Yuma trembling with fear!
