Episode 64: Change of Hart
Mr. Heartland shows the crowd how dire things are for Kite and Bronk knows that Kite's been holding back but Vetrix/Hart continues torturing Kite. Dr. Faker is on his last nerve and will make Vetrix pay for all of this but while Yuma's journey to Hart's room continues, Kite draws, considering things before deciding to attack Number 8 to leave Vetrix/Hart down to 2600 LPs but they continue taunting Kite, whom ends his turn. Perhaps Yuma should've walked but Orbital picks up the pace and gets around security while Vetrix/Hart draws and equips Heraldry Curse to Number 8: Heraldic King Genom-Heritage, forcing both players to take 300 damage per monster on the field each turn and activates the effect, bringing their score down to 2000 and Kite down to 600 LPs.
It's too much for Vetrix/Hart and they collapse but Yuma and Orbital have made it to Hart's room and relay the news to Kite but Dr. Faker is no happier to hear the news as Vetrix/Hart taunts Kite and Dr. Faker more. Yuma wishes Hart could hear how much he means to Kite and Hart brings them to his own memories once more. However, this time, it's shrouded in darkness and Vetrix is behind it but Vetrix is willing to ensure they don't tell anyone. Yuma brings out Number 39: Utopia (2500) in Attack Mode to battle Vetrix's monster form and nails a solid hit but it's not enough and neither is Vetrix's counterattack. Utopia's second strike is successful as well and Vetrix is defeated but not before a final last ditch effort is made.
The duo return to reality and Vetrix is thrown backward, leaving Kite to wonder what happened and he's filled in. No longer needing to hold back, as Vetrix/Hart puts their mask back on, Kite is filled with all the power he needs and draws. Next he plays Galaxy Expedition to Special Summon Galaxy Knight (2000) in Attack Mode from his Deck since he controls Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon. (The real card just needs you to have a Level 5 or higher Photon or Galaxy-Eyes monster out and Special Summons a Level 5 or higher Galaxy-Eyes or Photon monster from your Deck in Defense Mode while the real Galaxy Knight has 2800 ATK.) Due to GK's effect, Kite brings out a second Galaxy Knight in Attack Mode and uses all three monsters as Xyz Material for Neo Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon (4500) in Attack Mode. Since regular Galaxy-Eyes is Xyz Material, Neo Galaxy-Eyes negates all other monsters' effects.
His attack doesn't take out Number 8 as Vetrix/Hart activated Heraldry Protection to lower its ATK by 800 to 3700. Vetrix/Hart will soon have all the anger he needs to win and draws. Next he plays Heraldic Beast Berners Falcon (1000) in Attack Mode. Next, he uses Heraldry Reborn to revive a Level 4 or lower Heraldic Beast monster from his Grave like Heraldic Beast Basilisk (1000) in Attack Mode. (The real card can Special Summon any Heraldic Beast monster from your Graveyard.) Furthermore, he plays Heraldic Beast Eale (1000) in Attack Mode since he controls 2 Heraldic Beast monsters. Now he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 69: Heraldry Crest (2600) in Attack Mode. Worse still, it's thanks to Kite and many others that Vetrix/Hart can control this beast and uses its effect to take NGEPD's effects.
Realizing Kite is in trouble, Yuma darts out and falls but Orbital catches him and takes him to the duel. However, Vetrix/Hart isn't done has he activates NGEPD's effect to detach an Xyz Material and not only take NGEPD's Xyz Materials but gain 500 ATK for each one and attack that many times, raising its ATK by 1500 to 4100. Even though HP saves NGEPD from destruction in battle, defeating Kite will give Vetrix/Hart untold joy and attacks to defeat Kite. However, the third attack is intercepted by Hart. Regardless, Vetrix takes Kite's soul and Number cards before disappearing. Yuma, Orbital and Astral arrive but Kite is not talking. Have they arrived too late?
