On an old bridge, Nervin and crew are walking along, eager to get across but Blister isn't thrilled about possibly staying in an environment worse than where they stayed in Satellite. Rally likes how the bridge looks, even if it's not finished but they'd better hope their dream doesn't become a nightmare and arrive with no sign of Yusei. They don't have to wait long as Yusei and Crow arrive shortly thereafter and are bombarded by Crow's tiny fans. That night, they gather around a campfire and learn from Yusei what's to come if Yusei doesn't defeat them.

Crow's fans want a bedtime story and Crow tells about the bridge to nowhere. Rally is confident that the bridge builder is out there somewhere As the fans go to bed, Blister isn't fully happy with the story and considers the bridge a joke.

News of the Dark Signers' marks disappearing spreads and Carly and Jack link it to their victory over Trudge. One of the spiders enters the Dark Signers' lair and reports that Yusei is near the bridge and one of the members, revealed as Kalin, agrees to duel. Later that night, Yusei begins to head out when Crow stops him and insists on coming along despite the duel not being normal. They head out towards the old Ener-D reactor but it doesn't go unnoticed as Yusei's friends take off as well, leaving Crow's fans behind. As Yusei and Crow pass, Kalin activates his Dark Signer mark, triggering the regular signer marks and making a purple blob appear. A call comes through and Carly answers it but isn't whom the caller wants and is Mina in a helicopter that brings them aboard.

On board, things  get a bit out of hand as Carly and Mina get into an argument until Jack reminds Mina that he's not champion anymore. Carly decides to lie about Yusei being champ and Jack agrees, adding that Yusei isn't the Satellite everyone thinks he is as he was born in the skyscrapers of New Domino City. Furthermore, the "earthquake" was the result of the negative energy given off by the old Ener-D reactor when it was shut down. As much as Carly wants to share the story, she'd be put in the facility at the hands of those wanting to keep it a secret. Back on the ground, a card flies by and Yusei (and I) recognize the card before Kalin makes himself known and it's someone Yusei and Crow recall from before that is now a Dark Signer. He's taking revenge on Yusei and Crow for what they did to him and a new Dark Signer mark appears on the ground. As Carly and Jack see it from above, it's time for the duel of Yusei's life!
