1. Do not always use the show as a reference. Card effects from there can and usually do differ from effects they're given upon release. Dueling rules can also differ from the game itself.
2. Understand how a card works before you play it or you'll risk your opponent having a countermeasure in place before you can use it.
3. Do not ignore the Forbidden and Limited List unless not involved a tournament. Otherwise, you'll likely get a game loss. Additionally, stay up-to-date on the changes to the Forbidden and Limited List as the list does not stay the same forever. |
