Rise of the Dragon Lords Structure Deck (Page 2)

*There are two copies included.
SDRL-EN037
Draining Shield
Normal Trap
Negate the attack of 1 of your opponent's monsters and gain Life Points equal to its ATK.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: Decent for just about any deck including stall and LP gain!
SDRL-EN036
Sakuretsu Armor
Normal Trap
Activate only when your opponent declares an attack. Destroy the attacking monster.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: While not the worst card to use, it's not the best to use either since Mirror Force destroys all Attack Position monsters not just the attacking monster.
SDRL-EN035
Magic Jammer
Counter Trap
Discard 1 card. Negate the activation of a Spell Card and destroy it.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: Discard a bad card to negate a Spell Card effect and destroy it! The downside is that DW monsters won't get Special Summoned since the discard effect is a cost.
SDRL-EN034
Call of the Haunted
Continuous Trap
Select 1 monster from your Graveyard and Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position. When this card is removed from the field, destroy the monster. When the monster is destroyed, destroy this card.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: A decent card to use, especially on Jinzo or Elemental Hero Wildheart! What hurts it is not being destroyed if the monster it brought back is tributed.
SDRL-EN033
Dust Tornado
Normal Trap
Destroy 1 Spell or Trap Card your opponent controls. You can then Set 1 Spell or Trap Card from your hand.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: An okay surprise for your opponent as to have them waste their MST or Heavy Storm but still, MST is far better since it can be used with Jinzo or Royal Decree face up on the field while DT cannot.
SDRL-EN032
Malevolent Catastrophe
Normal Trap
Activate only when your opponent's monster declares an attack. Destroy all Spell and Trap Cards.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: An overall bad card. Not only does it require your opponent to attack to use the card, it cannot be used with Jinzo or Royal Decree on the field.
SDRL-EN031*
Mausoleum of the Emperor
Field Spell
Both players can Normal Summon or Set monsters without Tribute(s) by paying 1000 Life Points x the number of monsters needed to Tribute Summon them.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: It is one of Aster Phoenix's worst cards since you have to pay 1000 LPs per tribute your monster needed, which can be useful if high level monsters are the only monsters your hand contains but overall not great.
SDRL-EN030
Brain Control
Normal Spell
Pay 800 Life Points. Select 1 face-up monster your opponent controls. Take control of it until the End Phase.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: At a cost of only 800 LPs, taking control of a monster is pretty small, especially if the monster is used for a Tribute Summon or monster effect.
SDRL-EN029
Lightning Vortex
Normal Spell
Discard 1 card. Destroy all face-up monsters your opponent controls.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: A pretty powerful card with a low cost! What hurts it is it only destroys face up monsters.
SDRL-EN028
Mystik Wok
Quick-Play Spell
Tribute 1 monster. Select either its ATK or DEF and gain that many Life Points.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Having to tribute a monster to gain LPs is pretty bad and shows that you're desperate. Don't use this card and if you're running LP gain, find a better card.
SDRL-EN027
Big Bang Shot
Equip Spell
The equipped monster gains 400 ATK. During battle between this attacking card and a Defense Position monster whose DEF is lower than the ATK of this card, inflict the difference as Battle Damage to your opponent. When this card is removed from the field, the equipped monster is removed from play.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: The +400 is pretty bad so if you want to use this card, do so on a monster that's already strong like Gemini Elf. Otherwise, don't use this.
SDRL-EN026
Terraforming
Normal Spell
Add 1 Field Spell Card from your Deck to your hand.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: Easily fish out Umi, ALO, Molten Destruction and TSiTS!
SDRL-EN025
A Wingbeat of Giant Dragon
Normal Spell
Return 1 face-up Level 5 or higher Dragon-Type monster you control to the owner's hand and destroy all Spell and Trap Cards.
COMMON
Rating: 1
Comments: Only use this card in Kaiba decks and in other decks, use Heavy Storm instead.
SDRL-EN024
Premature Burial
Equip Spell
Pay 800 Life Points. Select 1 monster from your Graveyard, Special Summon it in face-up Attack Position, and equip it with this card. When this card is destroyed, destroy the equipped monster.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: Pay a little to get a lot as you can Special Summon just about any monster in your Graveyard! The only downside is that the monster becomes equipped to PB and if it is destroyed, so is the monster.
SDRL-EN023
The Shallow Grave
Normal Spell
Each player selects a monster in their Graveyard and Special Summons it in face-down Defense Position.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: What hurts this card and brings its rating down is the fact that the monster is summoned face down. Other than that, not too bad.
SDRL-EN022
Giant Trunade
Normal Spell
Return all Spell and Trap Cards on the field to their owners' hands.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: A poor excuse to not worry about having your attack(s) stopped. Stick to Heavy Storm instead.
SDRL-EN021
Soul Exchange
Normal Spell
Select 1 monster your opponent controls. This turn, if you would Tribute a monster you control. Tribute the selected monster instead. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase during the turn that you activate this card.
COMMON
Rating: 2
Comments: Not much going for it. You can tribute one of your opponent's monsters for one of your own but having to skip your Battle Phase doesn't help this card or you so keep this card in Kaiba decks only.
SDRL-EN020
Foolish Burial
Normal Spell
Select 1 monster from your Deck and send it to the Graveyard.
COMMON
Rating: 3
Comments: Send a Crystal Beast monster to the Graveyard for summoning Rainbow Dragon more easily or drop a high-level monster to the Graveyard and bring it back with Premature Burial! Not bad overall!
