2000 ATK may not be the highest ATK for 1 tribute but with 3 Dark Magicians in both player's Graveyards gives her 900 ATK for 2900!
What's not to like? Sure he has stats of (1500/1300) but his effect makes damage to both himself and his controller to 0 and the attacked Monster loses 500 ATK!
His stats may be high but his effect brings him down so only use this in Joey decks.
For a Monster with only 2800 ATK for an effect that requires LV5 to attack directly and still be out during your next Standby Phase, he is pretty horrible.

Bring back a strong Monster and make it stronger!
Tribute 3 Monster and leave your opponent defenseless! The fact is that you have to tribute 3 Monsters for that effect.
His stats are quite good for being 4 stars but having to lose 400 ATK to have a trample effect isn't worth it. Give him a FMC instead of using his effect.
1900 ATK for a DARK Monster is very nice for just about any deck including Kaiba's!

A powerhouse of a Fusion Monster! Take a weak Monster without having to worry about TER getting destroyed! A very nice card indeed!
Bakura fans will know he uses this card against Yugi and it is a nasty card once you get past the summoning conditions. Even when destroyed, it gets equipped and you choose the Monster!
Certainly one of the best Fiend Monsters out so far! 2450 takes out Jinzo, Goblin Attack Force and Rare Metal Dragon!
A very powerful Dragon Monster with the effect of Raigeki under the right conditions! 1000 DEF won't help him survive in Defense Position very long.

He's the strongest Level 4 Monster out thus far and by far has the worst effect. He just isn't worth it outside Kaiba's deck.
A poor excuse to shuffle your deck and/or protect your LPs. Don't use him outside Kaiba's deck.
There are better Warriors out there than this card. You should only use this in Kaiba's deck to get out Rare Metal Dragon.
There's no use for this card. You have to take 3000 damage from 1 attack and its effect isn't something to get excited about either.

This card is utter garbage. All it does is remove Andro Sphinx and Sphinx Teleia from play.
For a long time this card was said to be the strongest Monster in the game and called Ancient Sphinx but once finally released, it became a major disappointment. It's certainly not a great sphinx overall.
Definitely better than Theinen that's for sure! 3000 ATK and dealing half that Monster's ATK as damage when he destroys a Defense Monster isn't bad overall.
While not as strong as Andro Sphinx, she still deals half the DEF as damage when she destroys a Defense Position Monster in battle, which isn't too bad overall.

Boost his DEF with Equip Spells and get him into Defense Position and he can't be destroyed in battle!
He's quite the strong Monster and one of Kaiba's cards from Yu-Gi-Oh the Movie but without his BEUD, he's garbage so we'll have to wait for its release.
Sure you have to tribute 2 level 6+ Spellcaster Monsters on your field but achieve this goal and you've got a powerhouse with the ability to negate and destroy Traps!
An okay card for an extra tribute/defense but overall not that great a card.

2000 ATK when you have less than 2 cards in your hand can be good but it still isn't great.
Bring out her comrade Marauding Captain and your opponent cannot attack!
Get him to be the only card your hand contains and it's a free summon! Watch out for Bottomless Trap/Trap Hole
One of Weevil Underwood's signature cards! +200 ATK, if you have many Insect Monsters out isn't bad but having to tribute a Monster to attack is.

A must have for WATER or AQUA decks!
Not only does he have 2400 ATK, but he can change a Monster to Defense Position when he destroys Monster, giving you a chance to destroy another opponent's Monster!
2000 ATK isn't the strongest ATK in the game for 1 tribute when Goblin Attack Force can destroy it. His effect can be useful as your opponent can't attack that turn though.
With 2500 DEF and can attack in Defense Position, what more could you want?

While it isn't as good as Mirror Force, it's still a nice card to use against your opponent!
The two tributes to summon this card are what hurts it. Still, that may not matter with the +700 ATK when it destroys an opponent's Monster!
The thing with this card is that it removes the Monster that destroyed it as well as itself from play. That's not too great an effect especially if you don't have other Monsters out.
Mataza, while has lower ATK, can be summoned without tributes and has the same effect so use it instead.

Dark Magician is losing playability with each set released and so is this card.
If it had its effects written on the card, this card would get a higher rating.
Succeed in Time Wizard and you get this bad boy but the truth is, it's not that great a card overall.

Make your strong Warrior Monster stronger still! Plus, battle a Dragon Monster and the Dragon is destroyed after the Battle Phase!
With Dark Magician losing playability, this card will become less and less played as well.
