The Dark Side of Dimensions Movie Pack (Page 1)

MVP1-EN019
Dark Magic Veil
Normal Spell
Pay 1000 LP; Special Summon 1 DARK Spellcaster-Type monster from your hand or Graveyard.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Less steep or restrictive than Dark Magic Curtain, which gets Dark Magician from the Deck for half your LP but this is still has restraints and not all DARK Spellcasters are worthwhile for the price.
MVP1-EN018
Gold Gadget
LIGHT / Machine / Level 4 / ATK 1700 / DEF 800
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 Machine-Type monster from your hand. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 "Gadget" monster from your Deck, except "Gold Gadget". You can only use 1 "Gold Gadget" effect per turn, and only once that turn.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: While not searchable, its Attribute is also LIGHT so Honest can help it take down anything in its way and it has everything else Silver Gadget has to offer.
MVP1-EN017
Silver Gadget
LIGHT / Machine / Level 4 / ATK 1500 / DEF 1000
When this card is Normal or Special Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 Machine-Type monster from your hand. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon 1 Level 4 "Gadget" monster from your Deck, except "Silver Gadget". You can only use 1 "Silver Gadget" effect per turn, and only once that turn.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: Unlike the original Gadgets, which only fetch their friends, this guy and its partner bring the new monster straight to the field, all whether Normal or Special Summoned, making it a great use with Shining Angel. Plus, you also have Honest in case it gets attacked, or you can let it fall and replace it with its twin or another Gadget monster. The downside is, if you use one effect, you can't use the other or either effect on any other copies you bring out right away.
MVP1-EN016
Kiwi Magician Girl
WIND / Spellcaster / Level 5 / ATK 1800 / DEF 1200
During either player's turn: You can discard this card; "Magician Girl" monsters you currently control gain 300 ATK and DEF for each "Magician Girl" monster with different names on the field and in the Graveyards, until the end of this turn. Spellcaster-Type monsters you control cannot be destroyed by card effects, and your opponent cannot target them with card effects.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: By default, the affected Magician Girls you control will gain 600 ATK (300 for itself and 300 from Kiwi's effect), which could be enough to take down a threat but the stronger the affected monster(s) are, the less likely they'll be attacked. The other effect is probably the better of the two, though that'll mean either Tribute Summoning her, which is pretty bad, or Special Summoning her.
MVP1-EN015
Apple Magician Girl
FIRE / Spellcaster / Level 3 / ATK 1200 / DEF 800
Once per turn, if this card is targeted for an attack: You can Special Summon 1 Level 5 or lower Spellcaster-Type monster from your hand, then change the attack target to it, and if you do, the attacking monster's ATK becomes half its current ATK. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can target up to 3 other "Magician Girl" monsters with different names in your Graveyard; add them to your hand.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: You won't be Special Summoning the likes of Dark Magician or Dark Magician Girl but you still have the likes of Gemini Elf to choose from and she'll halve the ATK of the other monster while forcing it to battle your new monster. The other effect isn't too bad either.
MVP1-EN014
Berry Magician Girl
EARTH / Spellcaster / Level 1 / ATK 400 / DEF 400
If this card is Normal Summoned: You can add 1 "Magician Girl" monster from your Deck to your hand. Once per turn, during either player's turn, when your opponent activates a card or effect that targets this card, or targets this card for an attack: You can change this card's battle position, and if you do, Special Summon 1 "Magician Girl" monster from your Deck, except "Berry Magician Girl".
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: If it weren't for the last effect, I'd have certainly given her only one star because she's weak and has to be Normal Summoned to get anything. Of course, what she actually has, isn't a great deal better.
MVP1-EN013
Marshmacaron
LIGHT / Fairy / Level 1 / ATK 200 / DEF 200
If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: You can Special Summon up to 2 other "Marshmacaron" from your hand, Deck, and/or Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Marshmacaron" once per turn.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: A variant of Marshmallon that replaces itself from pretty much anywhere in your possession but they're pretty weak and don't do anything else.
MVP1-EN012
Sentry Soldier of Stone
EARTH / Rock / Level 3 / ATK 1300 / DEF 2000
If all monsters you control are Rock-Type monsters (min. 1) while this card is in your Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card. You can only use this effect of "Sentry Soldier of Stone" once per turn.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: The next evolution of Giant Soldier of Stone doesn't bring much but in an all Rock-Type monster Deck, this probably won't be too bad, especially with 2000 DEF.
MVP1-EN011
Krystal Avatar
Continuous Trap
When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack, if its ATK is greater than or equal to your LP: Special Summon this card in Attack Position as an Effect Monster (Warrior-Type/LIGHT/Level 4/ATK ?/DEF 0) that has ATK equal to your LP, then change the attack target to this card. (This card is also still a Trap Card.) If this card Summoned this way is destroyed by battle, after damage calculation: Inflict damage to your opponent equal to its ATK.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: A bit risky to play but if successful, you''ll not only have a new monster that'll probably be a powerhouse unless your LP are low and then if it's destroyed, you'll deal some effect damage too.
MVP1-EN010
Counter Gate
Normal Trap
When an opponent's monster declares a direct attack: Negate the attack, and if you do, draw 1 card, then if it is a monster, immediately after this effect resolves, you can Normal Summon it in face-up Attack Position.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: For risking it all on a direct attack, this card doesn't provide you with much hope because unless your new card is a monster, which is a 1 in 3 chance, your new card probably won't help you, though you probably won't get a strong monster anyway.
MVP1-EN009
Induced Explosion
Normal Trap
When a card(s) you control is destroyed by a Spell effect (except during the Damage Step): Target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it. During either player's turn, except the turn this card was sent to the Graveyard, when a card(s) you control is destroyed by a Spell effect (except during the Damage Step): You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 card your opponent controls; destroy it.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It's specific to destruction by a Spell effect but you could at least lessen the damage you take.
MVP1-EN008
Chaos Form
Ritual Spell
This card can be used to Ritual Summon any "Chaos" or "Black Luster Soldier" Ritual Monster. You must also Tribute monsters from your hand or field, and/or banish "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" or "Dark Magician" from your Graveyard, whose total Levels exactly equal the Level of the "Chaos" or "Black Luster Soldier" Ritual Monster you Ritual Summon.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: If you're going to go through the trouble of using a Blue-Eyes or Dark Magician to Ritual Summon, you might as well do it from the hand but luckily, you don't have to and this doesn't just work to bring out Chaos MAX Dragon.
MVP1-EN007
Dragon's Fighting Spirit
Quick-Play Spell
Target 1 Dragon-Type monster you control that was Special Summoned this turn; for each monster your opponent currently controls that was Special Summoned this turn, it gains 1 additional attack during each Battle Phase this turn.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Since this'll likely be activated on your turn (as your monster cannot attack on your opponent's turn), you may be able to win but it's not likely your opponent will do much Special Summoning on your turn.
MVP1-EN006
Pandemic Dragon
DARK / Dragon / Level 7 / ATK 2500 / DEF 1000
Once per turn: You can pay LP in multiples of 100; other face-up monsters on the field lose that much ATK. Once per turn: You can target 1 monster on the field with ATK less than or equal to this card's; destroy it. If this card is destroyed by battle or card effect: All face-up monsters on the field lose 1000 ATK.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Not very strong for a Level 7 monster but it can at least overcome that using its effect, or better yet Burden of the Mighty. Of course, its destruction means your monsters get weker too.
MVP1-EN005
Deep-Eyes White Dragon
LIGHT / Dragon / Level 10 / ATK 0 / DEF 0
When a face-up "Blue-Eyes" monster(s) you control is destroyed by battle or an opponent's card effect, and you have a Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card from your hand, and if you do, inflict 600 damage to your opponent for each Dragon-Type monster with different names in your Graveyard. If this card is Normal or Special Summoned: Target 1 Dragon-Type monster in your Graveyard; this card's ATK becomes equal to that monster's. If this card on the field is destroyed by a card effect: Destroy all monsters your opponent controls.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: I'll give it some credit for being able to become a Beatstick under almost any way of being Summoned, though that's dependent on what's in your Graveyard at the time and without that, it doesn't really have the ability to survive in either battle position. You may also get some decent burn damage though, but that also depends on what's in your Graveyard.
MVP1-EN004
Blue-Eyes Chaos MAX Dragon
DARK / Dragon-Type Ritual / Level 8 / ATK 4000 / DEF 0
You can Ritual Summon this card with "Chaos Form". Must be Ritual Summoned, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Cannot be targeted, or destroyed by, your opponent's card effects. If this card attacks a Defense Position monster, inflict double piercing battle damage to your opponent.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: While it has to be Ritual Summoned, you can easily do so using Ritual Raven to count as the entire Tribute and thus you'll have a monster immune to your opponent's effects and doubling any damage it deals with attackinng Defense Position monsters.
MVP1-EN003
Assault Wyvern
LIGHT / Dragon / Level 4 / ATK 1800 / DEF 1000
When this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: You can Tribute this card; Special Summon 1 Dragon-Type monster from your hand or Graveyard, except "Assault Wyvern".
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: The effect probably isn't in your best interest to use as you risk losing the new monster and thus leaving you with one less obstacle for your opponent to overcome but you still have a solid Beatstick that Honest can partner up with.
MVP1-EN002
Kaiser Vorse Rader
DARK / Beast-Warrior / Level 5 / ATK 1900 / DEF 1200
If you control no monsters, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). If this card destroys an opponent's monster by battle: This card gains 500 ATK. If this card is destroyed by battle: The monster that destroyed it loses 500 ATK.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: It'll get stronger with each monster it takes out and can be Special Summoned in a fairly easy way.
MVP1-EN001
Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon
LIGHT / Dragon-Type Fusion / Level 12 / ATK 4500 / DEF 3800
"Blue-Eyes White Dragon" + "Blue-Eyes White Dragon" + "Blue-Eyes White Dragon"
At the end of the Damage Step, if this is the only face-up card you control, and this Fusion Summoned card attacked: You can send 1 "Blue-Eyes" Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck to the Graveyard; this card can attack again in a row. You can use this effect of "Neo Blue-Eyes Ultimate Dragon" up to twice per turn. During either player's turn, when a card or effect is activated that targets a "Blue-Eyes" monster(s) you control: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; negate the activation, and if you do, destroy that card.
ULTRA RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: As easy to Summon as the original BEUD but not much better because allowing it to attack extra times forces you to waste Extra Deck space with Blue-Eyes Fusions you probably won't be using anywhere else and even this doesn't guarantee successful attacks. On top of that, its protection effect forces it banish itself from your Graveyard, reducing the odds of an easy revival later.
