Dragons of Legend (Page 1)

DRLG-EN020
Ayers Rock Sunrise
Normal Spell
Target 1 Beast-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target, and if you do, all face-up monsters your opponent currently controls lose 200 ATK for each Beast, Plant and Winged-Beast-Type monster currently in your Graveyard, until the end of this turn. You can only activate 1 "Ayers Rock Sunrise" per turn.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: The Monster Reborn for Beast-Type monsters. It does have a bonus effect but it's not going to be all that much of an ATK loss most of the time.
DRLG-EN019
Pair Cycroid
EARTH / Machine-Type Fusion / Level 5 / ATK 1600 / DEF 1200
2 Machine-Type monsters with the same name
This card can attack your opponent directly.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: They made it much more flexible and no drawback to attacking directly unlike in the anime, where it lost 500 ATK.
DRLG-EN018
Final Fusion
Normal Trap
During either player's Battle Step, when a Fusion Monster you control battles an opponent's Fusion Monster: Target both those Fusion Monsters; negate the attack, and if you do, each player takes damage equal to the combined ATK of both those Fusion Monsters.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: Fusion Monsters are really a thing of the past, even though new ones get created now and then and unlike Battle Fusion, which needs only your Fusion Monster to battle, this card went the anime effect route, leaving it to be outclassed by Magic Cylinder and Mirror Force.
DRLG-EN017
Battle Fusion
Quick-Play Spell
When an attack is declared involving a Fusion Monster you control and an opponent's monster: That monster you control gains ATK equal to the ATK of the opponent's monster, until the end of the Damage Step. You can only activate 1 "Battle Fusion" per turn.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: A slight nerf from its anime effect, which wasn't specific at all with what monsters could battle but with the right Fusion Monster, this isn't all that bad, especially since it's a Quick-Play Spell, even if the ATK boost doesn't last long.
DRLG-EN016
Flash Fusion
Quick-Play Spell
Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck, using monsters you control as Fusion Materials. Destroy it during the End Phase.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: It's a watered down Polymerization but the original will still be the better card, even as a Normal Spell, as you can do it from your hand and don't lose the monster during the End Phase.
DRLG-EN015
Sabatiel - The Philosopher's Stone
Normal Spell
If you have a "Winged Kuriboh" monster in your Graveyard: Pay half your Life Points; add 1 "Polymerization" Spell Card or "Fusion" Spell Card from your Deck to your hand, except "Diffusion Wave-Motion". If this card is in your Graveyard: You can banish 3 copies of "Sabatiel - The Philosopher's Stone" from your Graveyard, then target 1 monster on the field; it gains ATK equal to the ATK of the monster on the field with the highest ATK (your choice, if tied), until the end of this turn.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 1
Comments: Nothing in this card warrants paying half your Life Points to get a Fusion Monster Spell Card from your Deck or banishing 3 copies of itself to give 1 of your monsters an ATK boost you could better with Gift of the Martyr.
DRLG-EN014
Soul Charge
Normal Spell
Target any number of monsters in your Graveyard; Special Summon them, and if you do, you lose 1000 Life Points for each monster Special Summoned by this effect. You cannot conduct your Battle Phase the turn you activate this card. You can only activate 1 "Soul Charge" per turn.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: Card has about as much hype as Kuribandit but anyone smart won't bring back more than 2 monsters, which is hardly worth 2000 Life Points when you can do that for free with Call of the Haunted and you cannot counter the Life Point loss from this card's effect.
DRLG-EN013
Guarded Treasure
Continuous Spell
Activate this card by discarding 5 cards; draw 2 cards. While this card is on the field, draw 2 cards instead of 1 for your normal draw during your Draw Phase.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: Since you get back 2 cards, you're only really discarding 3 cards and you get to draw 2 cards during each of your Draw Phases, which can really help you out!
DRLG-EN012
Reaper Scythe - Dreadscythe
Equip Spell
Equip only to "Guardian Dreadscythe". It gains 500 ATK for each monster in the Graveyards.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It goes only to Guardian Dreadscythe but Dreadscythe can quickly get this card to itself via its effect and this does give it a somewhat decent boost.
DRLG-EN011
Celestial Sword - Eatos
Equip Spell
(This card is always treated as a "Noble Arms" card.)
The equipped monster gains 500 ATK. When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: You can target 1 "Guardian Eatos" you control; it gains 500 ATK for each banished monster.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: They made it slightly better than with the anime, which gave it only 300 ATK, but without Guardian Eatos in play, it really doesn't have much use.
DRLG-EN010
Guardian Dreadscythe
DARK / Fiend / Level 8 / ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned by its own effect, and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. If a "Guardian Eatos" is destroyed by battle or by card effect and sent to your Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card from your hand. When this card is Special Summoned: You can equip 1 "Reaper Scythe - Dreadscythe" from your Deck to this card. You cannot Normal or Special Summon monsters (but you can Normal Set). When this card is sent from the field to the Graveyard: Send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard, and if you do, Special Summon this card from the Graveyard.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: The main drawback with this guy is it can't be played unless by its own effect or when your Guardian Eatos is destroyed and sent to the Graveyard. While you can't Normal or Special Summon anything else, you can still Set monsters and don't have to activate the effect, which triggers easily as it doesn't care how it's sent to the Graveyard and you automatically get its Equip Spell when it's Summoned.
DRLG-EN009
Guardian Eatos
WIND / Fairy / Level 8 / ATK 2500 / DEF 2000
If you have no monsters in your Graveyard, you can Special Summon this card (from your hand). You can send 1 of your Equip Spell Cards equipped to this card to the Graveyard, then target up to 3 monsters in your opponent's Graveyard; banish those targets, and if you do, this card gains 500 ATK for each monster banished by this effect, until the end of this turn.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: Draw this card early (or any time if you're running a Macro Cosmos Deck) and it'll be quite beneficial as you won't need Tributes to play it and can use it for another Summon or trigger its effect with an Equip Spell!
DRLG-EN008
Relay Soul
Normal Trap
Special Summon 1 monster from your hand. While it is face-up on your side of the field, you take no damage. When it leaves the field, your opponent wins the Duel.
SUPER RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: The fact that your opponent automatically wins the duel if the Special Summoned monster leaves the field may seem off-putting but there are plenty of monsters that can survive attacks and you won't take damage at all, not to mention you can still use the monster as Xyz Material or flip it face-down to avoid the drawback.
DRLG-EN007
Berserker Soul
Quick-Play Spell
When a monster you control inflicts 1500 or less damage to your opponent by a direct attack: Discard your entire hand (min.1); excavate the top card of your Deck, and if it is a Monster Card, send it to the Graveyard, and if you do that, inflict 500 damage to your opponent, then repeat this effect up to 7 more times or until you excavate a non-Monster Card. If a non-Monster Card is excavated, place it on the top of your Deck. You can only activate 1 "Berserker Soul" per turn.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: The infamous Spell Card that caused Weevil Underwood's defeat in the "Waking the Dragons" saga of Yu-Gi-Oh and a nerf was inevitable yet it also was made somewhat easier to play as there are monsters that can attack directly as is but your luck will likely not be as good as Atem's.
DRLG-EN006
Legend of Heart
Normal Spell
Pay 2000 Life Points and Tribute 1 Warrior-Type monster; banish up to 3 "Legendary Dragon" Spell Cards with different names from your hand and/or Graveyard, and if you do, Special Summon that many "Legendary Knight" monsters with different names from your hand, Deck, and/or Graveyard. You can only activate 1 "Legend of Heart" per turn.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: A steep cost as I said earlier but you can bring out up to 3 Legendary Knight monsters from virtually anywhere but at the moment only Timaeus exists, making this card pretty well useless.
DRLG-EN005
The Eye of Timaeus
Normal Spell
(This card is also always treated as "Legendary Dragon Timaeus".)
Target 1 "Dark Magician" monster you control; Fusion Summon 1 Fusion Monster from your Extra Deck that lists that monster on the field as a Fusion Material Monster, using it as the Fusion Material. You can only activate 1 "The Eye of Timaeus" per turn.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: One of a few cards in this set that I doubt anyone not working for Konami could've seen coming as it wasn't really any card we could attribute it to well enough but while it even works on Dark Paladin or Dark Flare Knight, it's not enough to boost its rating much.
DRLG-EN004
Dark Magician Girl the Dragon Knight
DARK / Dragon-Type Fusion / Level 7 / ATK 2600 / DEF 1700
"Dark Magician Girl" + 1 Dragon-Type monster
Must be Fusion Summoned with the above Fusion Material Monsters or with "The Eye of Timaeus", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. Once per turn, during either player's turn: You can send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard, then target 1 face-up card on the field; destroy that target.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 3
Comments: Surprised at how much skin they allowed her to show given her original form isn't as revealing outside Japan artwork but the main difference between her and Amulet Dragon is the fact that her effect can be used during either player's turn and isn't specific on what you can discard or destroy.
DRLG-EN003
Amulet Dragon
DARK / Dragon-Type Fusion / Level 8 / ATK 2900 / DEF 2500
"Dark Magician" + 1 Dragon-Type monster
Must be Fusion Summoned with the above Fusion Material Monsters or with "The Eye of Timaeus", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. If this card is Special Summoned: Target any number of Spell Cards in any Graveyard(s) (min. 1); banish those targets, and if you do, this card gains 100 ATK for each card banished by this effect. If this card is destroyed: You can target 1 Spellcaster-Type monster in your Graveyard; Special Summon that target.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: It can be Special Summoned via The Eye of Timaeus, which is also the best way but its powerboost is fairly weak, which is too bad because it can't be brought back via Call of the Haunted yet at least gives you a Spellcaster-Type monster in return for its destruction.
DRLG-EN002
Kuribandit
DARK / Fiend / Level 3 / ATK 1000 / DEF 700
During the End Phase, if this card was Normal Summoned this turn: You can Tribute this card; excavate the top 5 cards of your Deck, you can add 1 excavated Spell/Trap Card to your hand, also send the remaining cards to the Graveyard.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: People seem to be jumping up and down over this card but I can't see why as the effect, which only activates if he's Normal Summoned, waits until the End Phase to sacrifice itself for a chance at getting a Spell or Trap Card and that's if he's around that long.
DRLG-EN001
Legendary Knight Timaeus
LIGHT / Warrior / Level 8 / ATK 2800 / DEF 1800
Cannot be Normal Summoned/Set. Must be Special Summoned with "Legend of Heart", and cannot be Special Summoned by other ways. When this card is Special Summoned: You can target 1 face-up Spell/Trap Card on the field; banish that target. When this card is targeted for an attack: You can target 1 Spell Card in your Graveyard; Set that target.
SECRET RARE
Rating: 2
Comments: So they've decided to make it pricy to bring this guy out and for your efforts, you not only can get rid of any Spell or Trap Card on the field but set additional Spells from your Grave when it gets attacked but both of those still remain minimal for the 2000 Life Point cost its required Spell Card needs.
