Woodchester Mansion

In 1844,Earl of Ducie put the castle up for sale to which William Leigh bought in 1845. It remains unclear as to when the castle was first put up. By 1858 , the clock tower had been finished and the main part of the castle was completely roofed by 1866.  By the 1950s, the castle had become a field study centre, yet no changes were made on the castle itself. A group called The Trust has been working on the castle since 2003 and has completed three parts of the restoration.
