Episode 139: The Source Code
At the duel, while Don Thousand assures they can't win, Yuma protests otherwise and sets 1 card to end his turn but Astral fears they must get around Numeron Network or they can't win. With that, Don Thousand draws and activates Numeron Calling to Special Summon 4 Numbers from hiis Extra Deck (that have 1000 or less ATK but they don't tell you that) and he's choosing the very first 4 numbers, the real first 4 numbers and not the ones faced before that he created. Using NC's effect, Don Thousand Special Summons Number 4: Numeron Gate Catvari (1000), Number 3: Numeron Gate Trini (1000), Number 2: Numeron Gate Dve (1000) and Number 1: Numeron Gate Ekam (1000) in Attack Mode. Weak as they are, Ganbara Knight is weaker still and without its effects thanks to being Special Summoned by Numeron Network.
Luckily, now Don Thousand cannot use Numeron Network to manipulate their strategies but Don Thousnad attacks anyway, prompting Yuma to activate Half Unbreak to prevent GK's destruction in battle and halve the damage, bringing the duo down to 3500 LPs. Worse still, the damage is translated to Astral World as Elephus watches with concern. Since his monster battled, Don Thousand proceeds to use Ekam's effect to detach an Xyz Material and double the ATK of each Numeron Monster Don Thousand and thanks to Numeron Network, detaching Xyz Materials isn't necessary. As a result, each Numeron monster's ATK doubles to 2000. Worse still, the remaining Numeron monsters also have this effect so Astral suggests getting rid of the source but they don't know where the card is. (If we get this card here, it'll obviously be watered down and plainly visible for both players to see.) Astral has noticed a pattern whenever Numeron Network's effect is used as there are streams of energy leading somewhere.
With that, Astral heads out, leaving Yuma and Nash to duel on their own. Nash gets Yuma to stay focused as they take the brunt of the attack but Yuma uses Half Unbreak's effect once more to halve the damage, leaving both of them on the ground and down to 2500 LPs. Don Thousand uses Dve's effect to double each of his monsters' ATKs to 4000. As before, Don Thousand attacks with Number 3, leaving Yuma to use Half Unbreak's effect again, leaving them down to 500 LPs before Don Thousand doubles the ATKs of his monsters to 8000. Certain it's the end, Don Thousand attacks but Nash Special Summons Cutter Shark (2000) in Defense Mode by sending Ganbara Knight to the Graveyard, saving their LPs. As Astral gets closer, he feels the jolt of the attack but presses on while Don Thousand doubles the ATK of each of his monsters to 16,000.
Don Thousand isn't done yet and uses NN's effect to use Number 1 as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 1: Numeron Chaos Gate Sunya (2000) in Attack Mode. Due to Sunya's effect, Don Thousand chooses to remove from play all his monsters but Sunya will return and deal them damage equal to the combined ATK of each monster banished for a total of 50,000. Nash isn't entirely worried and draws before playing Boom Shark (1000) in Attack Mode, which'll self-destruct when it battles and deal Don Thousand its ATK as damage. Next he uses Aqua Jet to give it 1000 more ATK to 2000. However, Don Thousand uses NN's effect to resolve the effect of Numeron Spell Revision to negate AJ's effect and replace it with Surface, letting Nash revive Cutter Shark in Defense Mode. (The real Surface can only Special Summon Level 3 or lower monsters, so Don Thousand wouldn't have been able to use it in place of Aqua Jet.)
Due to Boom Shark's other effect, it self-destructs when Nash gets another monster, leaving him down to one monster anyway while Astral continues his search and has to fight tentacles. Back at the duel, Nash activates Rank-Up Rising to add a Rank-Up-Magic card from his Deck to his hand since a WATER monster he controlled was destroyed. He chooses to add and activate Rank-Up-Magic - The Seventh One to bring out Number 101: Silent Honor ARK, then use it as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 101: Silent Honor DARK (Number C101: Silent Honor DARK in the CG) (2800) in Attack Mode. Since NN's effect can only be used once per turn, it couldn't swap Nash's Rank-Up-Magic card with another Spell this time.
Nash uses Silent Honor DARK's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and revive Silent Honor ARK (2100) from his Graveyard in Attack Mode. (The real card doesn't have this effect.) Even Don Thosuand is intrigued that Nash planned this from the beginning. Nash attacks Don Thousand directly with ARK, leaving Don Thousand down to 1900 LPs and never imagining he could be beaten. Nash wants to make Don Thousand live defeat and attacks directly with Silent Honor DARK but Don Thousand Special Summons Numeron Wall (0000) in Defense Mode since he took Battle Damage, negating the attack. While Astral has found the Numeron Network card, if he destroys it, an immense amount of energy will be unleashed, inevitably destroying Earth and possibly Astral World. Astral's decision is clear and he brings the card to the surface while Nash uses Silent Honor DARK's effect to add NW to itself as Xyz Material.
Next, Nash uses Depth Eruption to destroy every card on the field (as he controls a WATER Xyz Monster but they don't tell you that either). To save Earth, Astral decides to take all the energy, even if he otherwise won't survive, and ignores Yuma's pleas. Just when it looks like Astral will be gone for good, Elephus appears as it's his time to go, not Astrals, and gives Astral a card before disappearing for good, leaving Asteal to reappear on the surface. Astral shares what has just happened before Nash revives Silent Honor DARK since it was destroyed while it had Xyz Material, giving them LPs equal to its ATK. As a result, their score climbs to 3300 before Nash sets 1 card to end his turn. Yuma isn't so sure Don Thousand's win is so assured but what is is that Don Thousand is going down!
