Episode 135: Dragon Strife (2)
At the duel, Orbital 7 activates the Barrier Shield function of the suit, leaving it to take the impact. However, despite Kite's assurance that Orbital will survive to tell Lillybot his fight, the shield cannot hold and fails, leaving Kite to land on the ground as his score drops to 250. Kite isn't willing to give up and has no major damage to himself but Orbital has 50% damage thus far but is willing to press on too. Mizar applauds their persistance but it means little with no cards on their field or in their hand but Mizar has ended his turn. Unfortunately, drawing a card proves to be too painful so Orbital helps out. Their luck holds and set a monster for their turn. Mizar is unphased and draws before using Galactic Charity to discard 1 card, then draw twice. (It also requires you to control a Galaxy Xyz Monster to activate it, but they don't tell you that, and the real card also halves the damage your opponent takes that turn.)
Next he activates Tachyon Refresh to remove from play his Neo Tachyon Dragon to get rid of the attached Galaxy Rebirth and restore its ATK to normal when it returns. Worse still, Mizar equips it with Tachyon Cannon, lowering its ATK by 500 to 4000 but letting Mizar halve its ATK to let it attack once more multiple times, until its ATK is less than 500. With that, Mizar attacks Kite's hidden monster, revealed as Galaxy Mirror Sage (800) in Defense Mode, and takes it out but not before it gives Kite 800 LPs to 1050. Furthermore, Kite gets to reset it but it'll be removed from play if destroyed again. (The real card gives you 500 LPs for each Galaxy monster in your Graveyard and replaces itself with any Level 4 or lower Galaxy Monster from your Deck or Graveyard, though it will still remove it from play after it is removed from the field.) Mizar decides to take it out again using Tachyon Cannon, lowering Neo Tachyon Dragon's ATK to 2000 but raising Kite's LPs to 1850 when GMS' effect activates again. Mizar using TC's effect three times more, brining its ATK down to 250 and leaving Kite down to 100.
Kite lands relatively softly on the ground but the suit's systems are nearly run out entirely as Mizar sets 1 card to end his turn. Kite remains motionless, even as Orbital's last ounce of strength is depleted. Yuma and crew manage to contact Kite but are unable to reason with Mizar about being tricked as Mizar says he's dueling for himself. Kite eventually gets up, willing to continue, even if that means a little danger, before drawing and retaining to hope. To prove it, he revives Number 62: Galaxy-Eyes Prime Photon Dragon (4000) in Attack Mode as it had 2 Xyz Materials when it was removed from the field, letting it return two turns later, right when Kite needed it most. (The real card returns to the field during your 2nd Standby Phase after being destroyed by an opponent's card effect and sent to the Graveyard with double its original ATK and thus wouldn't return in the CG as it was removed from play.) Nevertheless, Mizar isn't threatened and activates Tachyon Unit, letting him pay 500 LPs and activate Neo Tachyon Dragon's effect without detaching an Xyz Material, bringing his score down to 300. As a result, Neo Tachyon resets the field to earlier in the turn.
As  a result, Neo Tachyon Dragon's ATK is restored but Number 62 remains on the field since its effect didn't activate this turn. Kite attacks but Mizar counterattacks and isn't willing to admit that something changed his view of humans and we get a taste of that as Mizar gains trust in Dragulon while Kite had also had a path with dragons that led him to Galaxy-Eyes and eventually dueling Yuma. Kite started out distrusting humans but over time changed that entirely and proves it with Number 62's other effect to double its ATK since it had 2 Xyz Materials when it left the field, rasing its ATK to 8000. His attack takes out Neo Tachyon Dragon to win the duel and revert Mizar to his human form. Furthermore, the three dragons gather and destroy the stone tablets before Number 100 appears and hands Kite a blank Xyz Monster card. Back home, Lillybot realizes how hard Orbital fought and will now forever remember him but Kite is too exhausted to continue any further and collapses on the ground.
Kite assures he's fine but Dr. Faker has already sent medical transport to land shortly. Back on the moon, Mizar walks to Kite and is handed the blank card before Kite notes that he was indeed the true Galaxy-Eyes master before shutting his eyes. While Vector wreaks havoc waiting for Nash's impending arrival, Mizar has accepted what he's learned and Yuma is coming for Don Thousand.
