Episode 125: Fight for a Friend
While the car with Yuma and Kite travels along and the group struggle to understand what the strange pillars of lights mean, Quatro learns first hand as Nash has drawn Rank-Up-Magic the Seventh One, letting him not only revive an Over One Hundred Number but use it as Xyz Material for an Xyz Summon. (The real card can only do this if you draw it during your Draw Phase like Nash has done, and can only bring out or revive numbers between 101 and 107 so he wouldn't be able to revive Number 101 in the CG.) With that he revives Number 101: Silent Honor ARK (2100) in Attack Mode and follows the others in their duels as their own Seventh Ones do the same. Mizar is first to bring out Chaos Number 107: Neo Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon (4500). Next is Girag with Chaos Number 106: Giant Red Hand (2600). Then comes Alito with Chaos Number 105: Battlin' Boxer Comet Cestus (2800). After that comes Marin with Chaos Number 103: Ragnafinity (2800). Dumon follows with Chaos Number 102: Archfiend Seraph (2900) before finally Nash brings up last with Chaos Number 101: Silent Honor DARK (2800) and all monsters are in Attack Mode.
None of the opponents are scared, in fact, some are now eager to take it down or just impressed. Regardless, Nash uses DARK's effect to make Quattro's Giant Hunter an Xyz Material. Next, he attacks directly and it connects but when the smoke clears, Quattro is still alive thanks to using Gimmick Puppet Shadow Feeler's effect from the Grave reviving it (1000) in Attack Mode since he's being attacked directly and it isn't destroyed in battle, but leaves Quattro down to 100 LPs. (The real card also deals 1000 damage if Special Summoned by this effect, which would've cost Quattro the duel, not to mention that the effect requires you to take Battle Damage first.) Nash is impressed that Quattro not only survived but has the courage to continue even though he's outmatched. However, Nash was never really interested in friendship and it quickly sets in with Quattro, leaving him to decide to be Nash's worst enemy.
Quattro draws and equips GPSF with Overlay Satellite to allow it to be 2 Xyz Materials for an Xyz Summon. With that, he uses his monster as Xyz Material for Number 40: Gimmick Puppet of Strings (3000) in Attack Mode. Furthermore, OS becomes an Xyz Material to Number 40. Next, he activates Number 40's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself (GPSF) to put a String Counter on Silent Honor DARK. Since GPSF was Xyz Material, it's removed from play, letting Quatro activate Banish Reactor to get 1 card back from the Graveyard and he chooses Argent Chaos Force, the card Qinton gave him and he plans to try and refresh Nash's memory of the friendship he once had. Quattro resumes his turn by activating the Rank-Up-Magic Argent Chaos Force he retrieved, letting him use Number 40 as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 40: Gimmick Puppet of Dark Strings (Number C40: Gimmick Puppet of Dark Strings in the CG) (3300) in Attack Mode. As a result of of Dark Strings appearing, Nash loses his monster.
Furthermore, Nash takes damage equal to his destroyed monster's ATK, leaving him on the ground, down to 200 LPs and exposed as regular Shark. As a bonus, Quattro draws 1 card since his monster destroyed an opponent's monster. However, Nash will only hit harder when he's hit so he eventually gets to his feet and reveals that his Silent Honor DARK has an effect that revives itself and gives Nash LPs equal to its ATK as it had an Xyz Material when destroyed, raising his score back to 3000. Since it has no Xyz Materials left, Quattro decides to attack it but Nash activates Overlay Connection to make itself become an Xyz Material for Silent Honor DARK. As a result, it has an Xyz Material when destroyed but Nash still takes damage, bringing him down to 2500 LPs. Once again, Silent Honor DARK is revived, giving Nash 2800 LPs to 5300. Since Dark Strings destroyed a monster, Quattro draws 1 card, then sets 1 card to end his turn (though doesn't declare the end of his turn).
Nash draws and activates DARK's effect to make Dark Strings one of its Xyz Materials. Vector is confident the duel will end this turn but Quattro activates Panic Shuffle to switch DARK to Defense Mode and shuffle all Spell and Trap Cards in both Graveyards to their owners's Decks. With that, Nash sets 1 card to end his turn, still confident he'll win soon enough. As a bonus, Nash shows Quattro how his friends are doing, indicating that they don't know when to quit but it's all the more agreement for Quattro to note that they won't ever give up. Meanwhile, Yuma finally comes to and has to take Caswell's lie to feel better. Back at Nash's duel with Quattro, Quattro sees that one by one, the friends lose to their opponents' Chaos Numbers. It's all the proof he needs to come at Nash with everything he has, having gained a new enemy in place of losing a friend, exactly what Nash wants but will it be Nash or Quattro that wins?
