Episode 115: Tentacles of Terror (2)
At the duel, none of them understand how Chironex got two monsters after Quattro's Gimmick Pupet Giant Grinder destroyed it so Chironex explains that it was his initial Xyz Monster's ability that was triggered, and since it was destroyed with 2 Xyz Materials attached, it Special Summoned 2 Kragen Spawn  in Attack Mode from his Extra Deck, each with one Xyz Material and the effects of the initial Stealth Kragen. Quatrro knows he has to strike fast and activates Number 15's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itslf, destroy all other Xyz Monsters on the field and deal damage to the owners equal to their destroyed monster's ATKs. As a result, Chironex loses his new Xyz Monsters and 3800 LPs, bringing him down to 2300. However, due to Kragen Spawn's effect, Chironex revives Number 4: Stealth Kragen (1900) in Attack Mode from his Graveyard and brings out a third Kragen Spawn to boot.
Quattro isn't phased and sets 1 card to end his turn before Trey realizes it looks hopeless given that Chironex always maanges to replace the monsters he loses. Shark knows he can't lose but he and Rio are getting worse with no cure in sight so Tori urgently tells Yuma to find a cure and fast. In spite of his dwindling health, Shark refuses to lose to Chironex and eventually draws, knowing that Abyss Splash could win the duel before Chironex can replace his lost monsters. Next he sets a monster, much to Quattro's anger but Chironex gets things settled before activating Receding Tide to reveal Shark's hidden Skull Kraken, remembering Shark's WATER Deck and understanding why a DARK monster was played. It's all Shark can do so he ends his turn.
Chironex draws and activates Jelly Rain to make all monsters become WATER monsters, leaving them vulnerable to Kragen Spawn and Number 4s' effects. After some consideration, Chironex uses Number 4's effect on Giant Grinder, destroying GG and dealing Quattro 1500 damage, bringing him down to just 500 LPs. With Quattro seemingly down for the count, Chironex takes aim at Shark and his last monster and proceeds to uses Kragen Spawn's effect to take it out and deal Shark its ATK as damage. However, Quattro gets to his freet and activates Shade of Strings to negate Kragen Spawn's effect since it would destroy Shark's monster with its effect. However, Chironex attacks and takes out SK with Number 4's attack, leaving Shark defenseless. Chironex's second attack prompts Shark to activate Deep Current to negate the attack.
Chironex isn't thrilled but sets 2 cards to end his turn just before Shark collapses. Rio's condition continues to deteriorate but Shark cannot find the strength to keep going. Quattro insults Shark and Chironex before drawing and playing Puppet Ritual to revive Number 15: Gimmick Puppet Giant Grinder (1500) in Attack Mode since he has 2000 or less LPs. (The real card only works if your opponent's score is at least 2000 LPs higher than yours, and with 500 LPs left, Quattro's LP difference is only 1800. Furthermore, the real card revives only 2 Level 8 Gimmick Puppet monsters from your Graveyard so Giant Grinder wouldn't be a legal target as it has a Rank not a Level.) Next he tributes Number 15 for Gimmick Puppet Nightmare, whom counts as 2 Xyz Materials for an Xyz Summon. (The real card Special Summons a 2nd copy of itself when Summoned by its effect.
With that, Quattro uses his GPN as Xyz Materials for Number 40: Gimmick Puppet of Strings (3000) in Attack Mode. However, Chironex is ready and activates Jelly Bind to prevent Number 40 from attacking or using its effect since Chironex has a WATER monster out. Quattro admits it was a clever move and sets 1 card to end his turn. It's Shark's turn now and he starts to get up but falls and remains motionless. Quattro gets angry again and starts insulting Shark once more, knowing Shark better than anyone. Sure he gave Shark grief earlier by getting him disqualified and attacking Rio. Shark has to save his sister and Shark cannot even get any rest with all the yelling so he eventually gets up, much to Chironex's surprise. Shark draws and activates Sea Lord's Amulet to keep his WATER monsters safe from Chironex's card effects. Next he activates Edict of Atlantis allowing him to give his WATER monsters 2 Levels when they're Summoned.
With that, Shark Special Summons Big Jaws (1800) in Attack Mode since he played a Normal Spell this turn (though Shark doesn't bring this up). Then he plays Panther Shark (1100) in Attack Mode without Tribute (since his opponent controls 2 or more monsters, though this isn't mentioned either). Now he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 73: Abyss Splash (2400) in Attack Mode. Chironex realizes Shark's monster is more powerful while Rio sheds a tear from her bed. Nevertheless, Chironex activates Jelly Hole to negate the effects of Shark's face-up cards. Next he activates Number 4's effect  to destroy Abyss Splash but Shark is ready and activates Cascade Barrier from his hand to prevent its destruction and make its ATK 0. Chironex isn't giving up and activates Kragen Spawn's effect to destroy Abyss Splash but with 0 ATK, Shark's LPs are spared.
Quattro helps out by activating Celestial Strings to revive Abyss Splash and make Number 40 and its Xyz Materials become Abyss Splash's Xyz Materials. With that, Shark uses Number 73's effect twice to double its ATK twice to 9600. His attack takes out Number 4 to win the duel and revert Chironex to normal. As a bonus, they get Number 4 as their prize and both Rio and Shark have their health back. While the doctors at Rio's side are puzzled, Tori is greatful and the news is relayed to Yuma, whom relays it to Shark but Shark and Quattro aren't listening and argue over what they've learned. Trey notes that the argument is more aggressive than when Yuma and Astral argued and Yuma agrees. Chironex gets up and recognizes Shark as the same person he saw seconds before the collision. Shark asks what Chironex is talking about but disappears before Shark can get any answers.
Shark rips away some of the shrub in front of him and finds the very same symbol he saw in the visions. Falling to his knees, it's all the proof Shark needs to regrettingly confirm that he's a Barian and doesn't respond to Quattro trying to talk to him.
