Episode 108: A Sea of Troubles (1)
We find Rio racing in a thunderstorm and coming to a dead end as an evil man moves towards her. Rio falls and we see it was only a nightmare that was strong enough to scare Rio into holding tightly to Shark as they travel. On the ship, Astral shows them the location of the last two Mytherian Numbers and Shark realizes how big a deal it is. They figure they're facing Mizar but would rather have an easy time getting the Number cards and Yuma takes control of the ship to get there. While Mizar and Dumon chat, Yuma and Astral do too as to why the Barians became the Barians but Shark says not to care how they became Barians. Shark is only in it to make them pay for what the Barians did to him and Rio, nothing more or less.
They find themselves in rough weather and the ship's power is shutting down but are in the right direction according to Tori. Rio gets more visions as a Number card wants her to come to it. Rio disappears but Yuma finds her on the monitor basically  in a trance and walking forward. Shark races to catch up and follows Rio into the ocean when she floats off the ship. Yuma, Astral and Tori arrive but Yuma and Astral follow and end up where Shark is, but have no idea where they are. However, Shark finds Rio's footprints and realizes Rio is also at their location and follow the footprints to a temple. Eager to find out more, they head inside the temple where they find it to be a labyrinth of doors and two of Yuma's dad's coins.
Since the remaining Mytherian Numbers must be here, the trio press on and Shark notes that Rio can see things the others cannot and suspects the vision led her here. The voice calls out to Shark and he finds Rio's card on the floor and departs from Astral and Yuma's path. Consequently, he becomes trapped but Yuma and Astral continue forward without noticing Shark's abscence. Shark would help but now the duo notice Shark isn't with them and neither is the entrance. They'd been wandering in circles as Astral had noted. Yuma tries to climb over but isn't successful and they find themselves trapped like Shark. Shark presses forward and loses another path but ends up finding many steps that lead to a dark figure at the top.
Shark races upwards and finds Rio waiting for him but not happy to see him as she's controlled by the individual named Abyss. Shark agrees to duel and will do whatever it  takes to free Rio. Duel preparations get underway but before the duel can get started, Tori finds herself unable to contact Astral, Shark or Yuma. Worse still, Dumon arrives and learns where the other three went but not the locaiton of the Mytherian Number cards. Dumon gets into the water and while he searches, Shark draws and plays Big Jaws (1800) in Attack Mode. Next, since he controls a Fish-Type monster, he Special Summons Shark Stickers (200) in Attack Mode from his hand. After that, he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Black Ray Lancer (2100) in Attack Mode, then sets 1 card to end his turn.
Rio draws and plays Gorgonic Golem (1200) in Attack Mode. Next she plays Gorgonic Gargoyle (1000) in Attack Mode as she controls a Gorgonic monster. Then, she uses her monsters as Xyz Material for Gorgonic Guardian (1600) in Attack Mode. Since it's not enough to attack with, Rio uses GG's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself, make BRL's ATK 0 and negate its effects. Worse still, GG destroys monsters with 0 ATK so BRL is destroyed and Rio attacks directly, bringing Shark to the ground and down to 2400 LPs. Finally, she sets 1 card to end his turn. Abyss notes that Shark isn't good enough to win Rio back and takes Shark back to an earlier time when he had a different lifestyle but has no memory of it at all.
Past Shark is brought to the balcony where cheers can be heard and learns of his status as emperor but doesn't believe any of this is real, even when he's warned of an enemy attack. Past Shark races to where the army is waiting for him and finds they're under attack by Gorgonic Guardians, causing people to be turned to stone. As the ships move closer, Shark discovers Vector is behind the attacks but before he can find out why Vector is here, he's taken back to the present, where he realizes Abyss is messing with his head but doesn't think long to find out why and draws. Next he sets a monster to end his turn, knowing that placing the monster in Attack Mode will allow Rio's GG to destroy it and since his hidden monster is Skull Kraken with 1600 DEF, he thinks he'll be safe.
However, Rio is ready and draws before activating Gorgon Charm to force Shark's hidden Skull Kraken (1600) to face-up Defense Mode. Next she uses GG's effects to drain SK of its ATK, then destroy it. Worse still, she gives GG Xyz Unit, giving it ATK equal to its Rank x 200, putting its ATK at 2200. Her direct attack leaves Shark on the ground and down to just 200 LPs. Meanwhile, Yuma and Astral need a way out but Dumon appears and cannot allow them to proceed further so he gets Yuma to prepare for a duel.
