Episode 96: Shadows of Deception
At the duel as the trio sit in pain, Yuma realizes they're dealing with a Field Spell and learns that by Xyz Summoning, they activated Sargasso's first effect. Furthermore, if they still have an Xyz Monster out when their turn ends, they take 500 more damage but Kite and Shark aren't worried about it. Vector gets Yuma ready to strike but Astral calms Yuma enough to let Yuma set 1 card to end his turn. Shark does the same to end his turn and both take 500 damage, leaving them down to 3000 LPs. Kite on the other hand uses Starliege Galaxyon's effect to detach 2 Xyz Materials from itself and Special Summon Galaxy-Eyes Photon Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode from his Deck. With that, he sets 1 card to end his turn, bringing him down by 500 to 3000 by Sargasso's effect.
Vector draws and plays Umbral Horror Ghoul (1800) in Attack Mode. Next he uses its effect to make its ATK 0 and Special Summon 2 0 ATK Umbral Horror monsters like 2 Umbral Horror Will o' the Wisps (0000) in Attack Mode. (The real card can only Special Summon 1 0 ATK Umbral Horror monster.) Next, he uses both his Will 'o the Wisps' effects to make their Levels become Ghoul's Level, making them both Level 4 monsters. With that done, Vector uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 104: Masquerade (2700) in Attack Mode. Knowing full well he'll take damage, Vector sends Sargasso Lighthouse to the Graveyard to negate the effect. (Well clearly he's activating it, which is how the real card's effect is used.) Worse still, while SL is in the Graveyard, Vector cannot take damage by Sargasso the D.D. Battlefield.
His attack prompts Yuma to use Utopia's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and negate the attack. However, Vector uses Number 104's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself to negate Utopia's effect and deal Yuma 800 damage, bringing Yuma down to 2200 LPs. Since a replay occurred, Vector attacks Utopia again but Yuma is ready with Half Unbreak to prevent Utopia's destruction in battle and halve the Battle Damage, bringing Yuma down to 2100 LPs. Vector sets 1 card to end his turn, stating that the longer Yuma survives the more fun it becomes to beat him. Yuma cannot control his anger any longer but while Astral struggles to calm him, Dumon draws and plays Star Seraph Scout (1200) in Attack Mode. Due to Seraph Scout's effect, Dumon Special Summons Star Seraph Sage (1600) in Attack Mode. Furthermore, Dumon uses Seraph Sage's effect to discard Sargasso Lighthouse and Special Summon Star Seraph Sword (1400) in Attack Mode.
Now he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 102: Star Seraph Sentry (2500) in Attack Mode and (apparently) ends his turn. Mizar draws and Special Summons Schwarzschild Limit Dragon (2000) in Attack Mode since Kite has a monster with 2000 or more ATK. Next he Normal Summons Parsec the Interstellar Dragon (800) in Attack Mode without Tribute since Schwarzchild is a Level 8 monster. After that, he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 107: Galaxy-Eyes Tachyon Dragon (3000) in Attack Mode. As a result, he takes 500 damage, bringing him down to 3500 LPs as he does not have SL in his Graveyard. Yuma draws and after a bit of an argument with Astral, uses Rank-Up-Magic Limited Barian's Force to use Utopia as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray V (" ") (2600) in Attack Mode.
Next he uses Ray V's effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself, destroy Number 104 and deal Vector damage equal to his destroyed monster's ATK, bringing Vector down to 1300 LPs.
When the smoke clears Vector is gone, leaving Yuma to believe he's won. Ray comes to and slowly gets to his feet but when Yuma gets close enough, Ray reveals himself as Vector as Yuma had dueled and met his clones while the true Vector standing before him was disguised as Ray. Yuma doesn't buy it until Vector notes the 5 cards he gave Yuma earlier. The news stuns Yuma's friends, including Astral and Yuma gets all the energy he needs to attack Vector directly. However, Vector is ready and activates Vain Betrayer to negate the attack, negate Ray V's effects and send all V cards in Yuma's Deck to the Graveyard. Worse still, Vector gains 500 LP for each V card sent to the Graveyard, raising his score by 2500 to 3800.As a bonus, Yuma sends 5 cards from the top of his Deck to the Graveyard for each V card sent to the Graveyard, costing his Deck 25 cards on top of the 5 cards he already lost. With only 3 cards left in his Deck, the duel is over and everyone can thank Yuma for it all!
