Episode 62: Duel of Destiny (2)
At the duel, while Vetrix and Dr. Faker react to Shark Drake, Shark takes out Yuma's Gogogo Ghost with it, leaving Yuma on the ground and down to 900 LPs. Worse still, since Number 32 destroyed a monster in battle, Shark uses its effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself, revive GG and reduce its ATK by 1000 to 900. Shark's attack connects but Yuma is still in the duel as due to GG's effect, it revived Gogogo Golem (1500) in Defense Mode when Special Summoned and changed itself to Defense Mode, sparing Yuma's LPs. Nevertheless, Shark is determined to defeat Yuma next turn and while it was impressive, Yuma, Astral and Dr. Faker all know that Yuma must summon Utopia to survive. However, Yuma has only 1 monster out and doesn't draw one to start his turn.
As a result, Yuma resorts to convincing Shark of their past duels but it doesn't work and Shark wants to get back to the duel. Yuma agrees and changes GG to Attack Mode. Next he uses Golden Form to double its ATK to 3600 until his next turn since GG changed from Defense Mode to Attack Mode. His attack doesn't take out Number 32 but leaves Shark down to 900 LPs. It doesn't phase Shark at all so Yuma sets 1 card to end his turn. Shark draws and with much built-up rage, uses Shark Drake as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 32: Shark Drake Veiss (" ") (2800) in Attack Mode. Only Vetrix and Shark are happy to see it and Shark uses its effect to remove from play Spear Shark and lower GG's ATK by 1600.
However, Yuma is ready with Power Change Barrier to make GG lose 600 ATK to 3000 but negate Shark Drake Veiss' effect. Shark uses Veiss' effect again to remove from play Double Shark but Yuma uses PCB's effect again, lowering GG's ATK to 2400. Shark does so again and again Yuma counters, returning GG's ATK back to 1800. Shark's attack with Shark Drake Veiss forces Yuma to activate Half Unbreak to prevent GG's destruction in battle and halve the Battle Damage, bringing him down to 400 LPs. Shark sets 1 card to end his turn and he and Vetrix are confident Yuma will lose thanks to the card Set. Yuma draws, knowing it's their last chance and plays Gagaga Magician (1500) in Attack Mode.
Next he uses his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 39: Utopia (2500) in Attack Mode. It's not enough to take down Shark Drake Veiss but Yuma's words break Shark free from Vetrix's control. Yuma then attacks and uses Utopia's effect to negate the attack. Next, he activates Rivals Unite to equip itself to Shark Drake Veiss and gain control of it, freeing Shark but letting it take over himself instead. It becomes clear to Shark that Vetrix was behind everything. Vetrix's hologram appears before Yuma to share what Shark's hidden Heraldry Catastrophe does. Despite all this, Yuma is forced to choose between saving Shark or Astral but Shark activates Underwater Snow Prison to remove from play Shark Drake Veiss and take 1000 damage, winning Yuma the duel and freeing him from Shark Drake Veiss. Yuma runs to Shark's aid and Shark comes to, hoping that Yuma will defeat Vetrix for good.
Vetrix gets angry and is determined to defeat Yuma once he defeats Kite. While Shark is rushed to hospital, Yuma and Astral know that Shark risked everything and agree to take up on Shark's wish to defeat Vetrix and win the tournament.
