Episode 32: Life is a Carnival (2)
In a hospital bed, a child revealed as May is not thrilled about her upcoming surgery in spite of the nurse's words and wants her uncle to be there. On the train, Yuma draws and sets a monster and 1 card to end his turn. Astral gets to see that Charlie McCay is still relying on luck and draws before playing Take a Chance to roll a die and if it's a six, his LPs are multiplied by 5. Despite Yuma's claim, Charlie gets a six, raising his LPs to 20,000. Next he summons Majestic Jester (0000) in Attack Mode and attacks, revealing Yuma's hidden Gogogo Golem (1500) in Defense Mode. Due to MJ's effect, if Charlie gets a six on its die result, GG will be destroyed without applying damage calculation but if not, MJ is destroyed.
Naturally, Charlie gets a six and GG is destroyed before Charlie sets 1 card to end his turn. As Kari forges ahead, recalling the events from before, Yuma draws and plays Gagaga Magician (1500) in Attack Mode. Next he uses Monster Slots to choose GM and remove from play the GG in his Graveyard to draw 1 card. If he gets a monster with the same Level as both those monsters, he can Summon it but if not, both the drawn card and GM are banished. (The real card has no downside if you don't get a monster with the same Level.) Unfortunately, Yuma draws Gagaga Girl, a Level 3 monster so he loses it and GM. After a reminder of his link with Yuma's dad, Charlie draws and uses Take a Chance's effect again and gets a six, making his LPs 100,000.
Next he uses Release Change to tribute MJ and Special Summon a monster with the same Level like Dice Leveler (0000) in Attack Mode. Then he uses his Monster Slots to choose his DL and remove from play MJ in his Graveyard. His result yields him another Dice Leveler, which he plays in Attack Mode. After that he plays a third Dice Leveler in Attack Mode and uses each of their effects to get sixes and make each of them Level 7. Now he uses his monsters a Xyz Material for Number 7: Lucky Straight (700) in Attack Mode. Worse still, Tori receives word from Kari that the train will reach its destination in 5 minutes and Kari will think of something and tells Tori to remain calm. Nevertheless, she informs Yuma of the news but Charlie assures they'll be fine.
With Lucky Straight on the field, Charlie uses its effect to detach an Xyz Material from itself and roll a die, then multiply its ATK by the die result. Since he gets a six, Number 7's ATK rises to 4200 and Charlie attacks directly. However, Yuma is ready with Nitwit Outwit to discard Zubaba Knight and lower the damage he'd take by 1600, brining his score down to 1400. (The real card is much less specific as it can work simply during your opponent's Draw Phase.) Yuma is out of ideas and Kari informs her basically what he knows already and they're running out of time. Yuma refuses to give up and draws before playing Ganbara Knight (0000) in Attack Mode. Since he just  played a Level 4 monster, he Special Summons Kagetokage (1100) in Attack Mode and uses both his monsters as Xyz Material for Number 39: Utopia (2500) in Attack Mode.
His attack prompts Charlie to activate Dice Crisis to roll a die and if he gets a six, Utopia's ATK becomes 0 and Charlie gains control of it. That's exactly what happens so Yuma sets 1 card to end his turn. Since the last stop is coming up, Charlie goes to draw but Yuma activates Commander of Swords to force Charlie to draw a card and if it's a Spell or Trap Card, Yuma can destroy that card or any Spell or Trap Card on Charlie's field. Charlie's draw is good and when Yuma opts to destroy DC, Astral convinces him to follow the expression and destroy the card Charlie drew instead. As a result, the powers fade but Yuma takes 500 damage since Sun Scale was destroyed, brining him down to 900 LPs.
Charlie uses Take a Chance's effect but gets a 1, returning his LPs to 4000 and thus Charlie ends his turn. Seizing the moment, Yuma draws and uses Comeback to regain control of Utopia. (A card called Owner's Seal has this effect.) Next he uses Utopia as Xyz Material for Chaos Number 39: Utopia Ray (Number C39: Utopia Ray in the CG) (2500) in Attack Mode. Then he uses Utopia Ray's effect to detach 3 Xyz Materials to give it 1500 ATK to 4000 and reduce Lucky Straight's ATK to 0. His attack takes out Lucky Straight to win the duel and restore breaking power. However, the train won't stop in time so Kari uses her motorcycle to slow the train down. On the roof of the train, Charlie apologizes to May, his daughter and takes Kari to see her before her surgyer.
As a bonus, Charlie gives may his Lucky Straight card. While the operation occurs, Charlie explains that he took the Lucky Straight card to have luck on May's side as the operation was risky. As he heads out, he wants Kari to send his compliments to Yuma. Meanwhile, Yuma, Tori and Astral are walking along but Yuma and Tori don't listen to Astral's desire to get Number 7.
