Episode 58: Shadows of Doubt (1)
In New Domino City, more people trapped in the Earthbound Immortal are restored. While Martha comes to grips with where Yusei might be, Jack races off to find Carly's hideout. Jack is determined to get Carly out of being a Dark Signer and gets whom he's looking for and after a brief argument, duel preparations get underway. Carly draws and summons Fortune Lady Light (????) in Defense Mode, gaining 200 and DEF times its Level, which increases by 1 each turn, leaving it with 200 ATK and DEF. She looks at her hand and finds the card Roman gave her before setting 1 card to end her turn.
Jack draws and ends his turn, leaving Carly to believe Jack is still guilty about what was done. Carly draws and tributes FLL for Fortune Lady Dark (2000) and Fortune Lady Earth (2400) in Attack Mode by FLL's effect. (The real card only Special Summons 1 Fortune Lady monster when removed from the field by a card effect.)  Her direct attacks leave Jack briefly spinning out of control and down to 1600 before Special Summoning Crying Ogre (Ogre of the Scarlet Sorrow in the CG) (0000) in Attack Mode and since it was Special Summoned by its effect, its ATK becomes equal to the damage he took from the previous attack, giving it 2400 ATK. As a result, FLD is destroyed and Carly's score drops to 3600.
While Mina recalls Jack from earlier, Jack draws and summons Power Supplier (400) in Defense Mode, then uses its effect but Carly counters with Bending Destiny to negate PS' effect and return it to Jack's hand. (The real card returns the monster back to the owner's hand at the end of the turn.) Jack sets 1 card to end his turn, disappointing Carly. Carly draws, and FLE gains 400 ATK 2800, then deals Jack 400 damage by its effect, leaving Jack down to 1200 LPs. Her attack with it destroys CO/OotSS and leaves Jack down to 800 LPs. She saw it in the cards (though Junk Synchron is on her Duel Disk at 15:54 into the US episode). While Jack comes to grips with Carly's Trap Card (Enlightenment), the others come to grips with Yusei's disappearance. We find Yusei in another world with dozens of spirits appearing from out of the ground. They surround him and Yusei realizes they could be from the old Ener-D reactor's destruction. Worse still, he's sinking into the ground.
Jack meanwhile awakens to a new wardrobe and appearance as Carly explains he's a Dark Signer now. Outside, Carly shows what's happened as a result and Jack soon becomes pleased with the results. However, after seeing Carly's broken glasses, Jack realizes it's an illusion and they're still dueling as he activates Changing Destiny to negate the attack. While he prepares for what's next, Yusei is still trapped until a figure appears and not only gets rid of the spirits but frees Yusei and shouldn't be questioned.
