As the gang watches on, Kaiba walks away, concluding that Yugi's defeat is inevitable. However, Yugi is ready and counters Slifer's effect with a Spell Card, then uses a Trap Card to bring back his monsters and restore his LP. Yugi then brings out a powerful monster and triggers Slifer's effect with another monster's effect. This is what Yugi wanted as he's able to drain all 3 God Cards of ATK points. Unfortunately, his counterattack fails thanks to Yami's Trap Card. Now Yugi plans to take down the God Cards once and for all.
