Episode 176: Grappling with a Guardian (3)

Yami and Raphael get a glimpse into Raphael's past life as Dartz gives him the Field Spell for the first time and trades his treasured monster for one of darkness. At the Duel, Raphael's monster has returned as he's forced to discard 1 card to revive it but Yami's Field Spell can revive monsters too and is able to quickly get twice as many monsters but Raphael keeps his monster in Attack Mode and is able to take down Yami's monsters. However, Yami's not defenseless for long and is able to bring out the same Fusion Monster that Raphael was able to restrain before. Just like lst time, Raphael is able to neutralize Yami's Fusion Monster but Yami stays in the Duel thanks to a Trap Card. Yami then turns the tide on Raphael by using Raphael's treasured monster and Joey's legendary dragon. Raphael is able to revive multiple monsters but it costs him the Duel but his soul is spared as he'd freed himself from the darkness. Unfortunately, a trembling starts and the gang know it's not good.
