Episode 56: Yugi vs. Rare Hunter (1)

With Joey still angry about losing his Red-Eyes, he and Yami hunt down the Rare Hunter. With Rex and Weevil on their own hunt for Yami and Joey. Yami and Joey find the Rare Hunter at a table having a drink. However, the Rare Hunter has no interest in Dueling Joey again and instead challenges Yami to a Duel for his Dark Magician. The stakes are set but Joey isn't allowed to reveal the Exodia strategy to Yami or his Red-Eyes will be torn up. A crowd gathers as the Duel begins. The Rare Hunter is off to a good start with 3 pieces already in his hand and goes on the defensive as per his strategy. As a precaution, Yami uses a Trap Card that makes all monsters on the field visible when they are played.

Even so, the Rare Hunter continues to add to his collection of Exodia Pieces and just needs 1 more to win by default. Joey brings up Weevil's antics with Yugi's Exodia cards on the boat to Duelist Kingdom and it makes Yami realize what he's up against. However, the Rare Hunter maintains that he'll win as no one has ever previously defeated Exodia but Yami plans on being the very first one.
