Episode 136: Victory or Doom
At the duel, Yusei needs a way to destroy Meklord Astro Mekanikle but doesn't know how yet Jack and Crow arrive on their Duel Runners. In spite of Yusei's words, Jack and Crow are here to stay and Jack reminds Yusei of his own face down card still in play before Aporia attacks. The attack prompts Yusei to activate Scrap-Iron Scarecrow to no avail, then Revenge Twin Soul to remove from play the Red Nova Dragon and Black-Winged Dragon to give Shooting Star Dragon DEF equal to those monsters' Levels x 100, raising its DEF by 2000 to 4500 and destroying MAM since its ATK is less than SSD's DEF. However, Aporia uses MAM's other effect to negate its destruction by removing from play a Meklord Emperor part in his Graveyard, brining his score down to 3400. It's nothing compared to the damage Aporia has planed for New Domino City.

Aporia sets 1 card to end his turn so Yusei draws and activates Speed Spell - Angel Baton to draw 2 cards and discard 1 since he has 2 or more Speed Counters. Then he uses Dimension Voyage to Special Summon Red Nova Dragon (3500) and Black-Winged Dragon (2800) in Attack Mode without the effects or their ability to attack and they're removed from play at the End Phase. Since Aporia has no idea why Yusei would bother activating DV, Yusei changes SSD to Attack Mode, then activates Trust Chain to prevent Synchro Monsters from attacking and add their ATK to a non-Synchro monster (and SSD is a non-Synchro now thanks to the previous episode), raising SSD's ATK to 9600.
His attack prompts Aporia to activate Vanishing Climb to remove all Synchros from play, returning SSD to 3300 ATK but Yusei counters with TC's other effect to destroy itself and end the Battle Phase. Worse still, VC's other effect Special Summons Red Nova Dragon and Black-Winged Dragon to Aporia's field. With nothing left to do, Yusei sets 1 card to end his turn. Aporia draws and uses MAM's effect to absorb RND, raising its ATK to 7500. Next, he discards Granel Top 5 to the Graveyard to give MAM the ability to absorb another Synchro and takes in BWD, raising its ATK to 10,300. He attacks but Yusei activates Guard Master's effect from the Graveyard (and it was sent there from being discarded by Speed Spell - Angel Baton) to remove itself from play, then change SSD to Defense Mode and prevent its destruction in battle that turn.
Nevertheless, Aporia uses MAM's third effect to send RND to the Grave to lower its ATK to 6800 and deal Yusei damage equal to RND's ATK but Yusei counters with Hardship and equips it to SSD to reduce effect damage to 0. Still, Aporia sends BWD to the Grave to return MAM's ATK to 4000, then activates Infinite Feast to let MAM re-absorb RND and BWD while deal Yusei 600 damage for each one absorbed and since BWD and RND were absorbed twice, Yusei takes 2400 damage, bringing him down to 400. Furthermore, Aporia gains 600 LPs, returning his score to 4000.
The signer marks glow and Yusei draws what he needs before playing Hardship's other effect to destroy it, SSD and all Equip Cards on the field, returning MAM's ATK to 4000 (though at 15:10 into the US episode, it has 400 ATK). Next he plays Mystic Piper (0000) in Attack Mode and uses its effect to tribute itself and draw 1 card, then draw again if the next card is a Monster Card, which it is. Then he uses Ghoul Summoner to Special Summon Black-Winged Dragon and equip GS to it. Due to GS' other effect, Yusei Special Summons Red Nova Dragon in Attack Mode by discarding 1 card and BWD absorbs the damage by its effect, dropping its ATK to 2100. Due to RND's effect, it gains 500 ATK per Tuner in Yusei's Graveyard, raising its ATK to 4500.

Now Yusei discards another card to use GS' effect and revive Shooting Star Dragon (3300) in Attack Mode, then make BWD's ATK 1400. Then, Yusei uses BWD's effect to remove all its counters to not only restore its ATK to 2800 but drop MAM's ATK by 1400 to 2600 and make Aporia take 1400 damage, bring him down to 2600 LPs. Yusei's attack with BWD doesn't destroy MAM as Aporia uses MAM's effect to negate its destruction in battle, brining his score down to 2400. His 2nd attack with RND also doesn't destroy MAM by MAM's effect but Aporia is down to 500 LPs. The final attack with SSD wins Yusei the duel and makes the Divine Temple disappear. Yusei, Jack and Crow pick a spot to watch as Aporia and his Duel Runner hit the water and explode. The three of them did it together and the MC makes their championship title official as the clouds break. Lazar is ecstatic over Team 5Ds' victory and celebrates while Team 5Ds does a victory lap. When they finish, their remaining friends and Jack's fan girls crowd around and even Team Ragnarok gives praise before Carly snaps some photos.
