Episode 36: Supersensory Shakedown | |||
That night, as the gang wait outside and Yusei writhes in pain, the doctor isn't certain about Yusei's status with all the internal bruising that exists inside. Shortly thereafter, the doctor and Martha emerge to say that Yusei will be fine after a few days' rest and no underground duels for a while. However, Rally and friends aren't so fine either as they've caught a cold from walking around without clothes and Martha agrees to make some soup. Meanwhile, in the Tops, Tanner wouldn't mind babysitting Luna and Leo but he's not there to babysit, just to keep an eye on them for Yusei and Leo has too many questions for Tanner to take on. Before Yanagi can take a dip in the pool, Tanner tries to check up on Yusei but there's no email back and assures that Yusei is probably battling a Dark Signer. However, it doesn't explain why Luna's mark was glowing and Yanagi suggests that the mark may be displaying the original battle for how to defeat the Dark Signers. Leo flips over his deck's top card and figures that if Power Tool Dragon was in Luna's vision, then he's the 5th Signer but Luna isn't so certain about either PTD being there or Leo saving the world. Leo adds Akiza into the mix and learns of her role in the Arcadia Movement, a group of psychics seeking to train duelists to inflict real damage, not something they consider Akiza doing. They should go rescue her but Tanner wants to hear from Yusei.
With still no reply, they head out anyway. We find Akiza at the end of a duel that went longer than anticipated and afterwards, she talks with Sayer about it. Akiza dismisses any questions until Sayer brings up Yusei, the one that saw her as a normal person. Meanwhile, Yusei awakens from a nightmare, recalling his most recent duel and Martha gets him to see his Duel Runner waiting outside and what was done to get it there. She hands him two apple slices and advises to stay there until she says so but if he does, the scars are only the beginning and he'll need all the support he can get to face the Dark Signers. At a table, Leo explains what's going on and it's nothing strange to Sayer as he has been getting strange movements lately. He claims to go get Akiza but instead knocks all of them out with a type of sleeping gas. When Luna awakens, she finds Akiza watching the duel about to take shape between Sayer and Leo, whom is chained up. Furthermore, Sayer reveals that the Arcadia Movement has multiple psychics and doesn't care about the Dark Signers wanting to destroy Satellite as it helps him get even with the world. The duel finally gets underway as Sayer plays Krebons (1200) in Attack Mode and sets 1 card. Leo draws and summons Morphtronic Radion (1000) in Attack Mode and while in that mode, Leo's Morphtronics gain 800 ATK, putting itself up to 1800. His attack fails as Sayer uses Krebons' effect to pay 800 LPs and negate its destruction (or rather the attack), bringing his score down to 3200. Sayer draws and plays Psychic Snail (1900) in Attack Mode. His attacks not only leave Leo down to 2700 LPs and feeling an extra jolt. It's too much for Leo as he wants to go home but Sayer convinces him to keep dueling. With that, Leo draws and summons Morphtronic Remoten (300) in Attack Mode. Next he uses Junk Box to bring back Morphtronic Radion. Then he uses both his monsters as Synchro Material for Power Tool Dragon (2300) in Attack Mode. Next he uses PTD's effect to pick up a random Equip Spell. (The real card lets you pick 3 and your opponent adds one of them to your hand.) He gets and plays Double Tool C&D, giving PTD 1000 ATK, raising its ATK by 1000 to 3300. His attack prompts Sayer to use Krebons' effect but DTCD's effect prevents it, leaving Krebrons to be destroyed and leave Sayer down to 1100 LPs. Oops! As DTCD's first effect resolves, PTD's ATK is shown at 3000 instead of 3300 at 20:10 into the US episode! Sayer draws and uses Psi-Station, letting him pay 500 LPs to give a Psychic monster he plays 300 ATK and raising its Level by 1 and brings out Psychic Commander (1400) in Attack Mode. Then, using PS' effect, he pays 500 LPs, bringing his score down to 600 and raising PC's ATK to 1700 and making it a Level 4 monster. Since it's also a Tuner, he uses it and Psychic Snail as Synchro Material for Thought Ruler Archfiend (2700) in Attack Mode. Next, he uses Battle Teleportation to let his monster attack directly and win Sayer the duel. Leo isn't as special as Sayer thought but he still has Luna and Leo had better get up! |
